I had an excellent night, good to see so many people there, old friends and new faces. And they did these lovely scotch eggs.
Mobidog arrived just after everyone else went home and the pub was shut :-)

I was inside chatting to the people that work there and they missed us the 2 weeks we weren't there, and seem really keen to keep us coming back, so it might be worth negotiating some sort of food deal.

The big news is that as long as we let them know in advance that we require it (which would obviously mean some notice on this thread that you were coming out to play) we can not only reserve that room with the piano and the big map, we can take our bikes in there!

A food deal would be ace. It was nice to see a good turnout; it had been a while since I've been to Easts.

East drinks didn't die, it was just nursing a hangover from the summer... last night was great, proper social night even if an impromptu tt didn't happen.. good chats, sorry for not saying hello to people I hadn't met before - would have been nice to put a name to a face forms, next time.

Everyone knows that at all these Meeja and Farshun type gigs no-one but the organisers would turn up if there was no free booze. It ensures a good turn out no matter how pretentious, crass or generally rubbish the show/gig/exposition is. (not to say they all are)
