Cockneys vs. Zombies Redband Trailer - YouTube
This looks both shit and awesome
The director is a pal of mine, and a Hackney resident. :)
It opens this weekend, by the way. Showing at Hackney Picture House I think. It's worth seeing for Richard Bryers alone.

Fighting!
I was not impressed by this, particularly as it seem to be initiated by people who don't come to Easts very often. Regulars will be there next week... What if the guy comes back looking for trouble?
Also was not impressed by the alleged racism.

Fighting with the thief/liberator?
Racism?

What sounded to everyone on surrounding tables like asking a black chap if he had stolen the bike he was riding because it looked expensive and he wasn't wearing cleated shoes and then wanting to fight him when he took offence. Stupid behaviour marring what is normally a pleasant evening.

who?

I don't think it's fair to attribute blame to any one individual. Collectively we shouted at him.."do a skid","nice bike", "don't turn left" (into one-way Stokie high st.), all harmless.
He cam back all swagger and attitude shouting and swearing talking about slapping people etc.
There's always going to be alleged racism in this country. you can hardly breath without people saying that you're discriminating. I didn't see any racism....he took it that way because someone asked if that was even his bike (ATAC pedals + trainers). The fact that it was a group of 12 white bike nerds asking a black guy "is that even your bike" may not have looked right, true, but when I heard the comment, I looked at the pedals and agreed.

This would be suspicious whoever was riding.

It was a totally unnecessarily antagonistic question which caused offence to someone you lot had already wound up twice. The standing up and shouting 'come on then' was a completely dickhead move.
Lets assume that this chap was dodgy. Him having already said he was a local and up for a fight can lead to repercussions for those of us not involved at some future date.
Beers are not an opportunity for starting trouble. After you left, several people from adjoining tables asked us if we were with you and what the fuck you were all playing at. Very bad form. -
