the river front is a cycle route (i think?) so if you are on the bit next to the river wall they can't move you anywhere.

flickwg ok great idea joel, but since when have we needed a pub for alcohol? sainsburys local is much better
a good location i know of is berkley square map
the road is soo smooth and it is one way
this is a bit more of a central optionthat place is always busy, the reason i chose the place in kennington is because its small secluded and only has one small road leading to it, and so the probability of cars coming into the square are minimal if not non-existent.

if you time it right you can be any where with out cars

that sq just south of picidilly night time should be empty and is a fair size

RPM best place for urban keirin is here
its just that i dont like formal completions, plus i dont think they do stuff at night, and ill probably be to sow to even think of joining in one of the comps, so by doing it on the street we even out the scoreboard and make it more of a social event type thing.

mush I'm in (is the pub any good)?
used to live in the estate opposite kennington park and that pub is nice small inside buta good selection of beers, it was a few years ago but think its still nice, and there is a big gravel square in the middle that people sometimes play that boules aka french marbels on

we did a race last year around some square in Bloomsbury. Jos was drunk but won. James Brown crashed I think, into someone who stopped as soon as he crossed the finish line...
It was fun but the "velodrome" was a bit tricky (park benches + nasty road surface) -

Cleaver square is full to the brim with actors and politicians and other no good rich folk. There would be blue lights in a flash if you even thought of spoiling their Sunday afternoon boule tournament or community picnic.
Bedford square?

they do this in glasgow occasionally, one guy has a scooter to do the dernying. The police arrived once and asked if everyone had lights then just let them get on with it

What about laps round the outside of the Emirates stadium? Smooth surface, absolutely no cars, nice and wide, well lit, no obstacles. Oddly, I was thinking about this when I walked through the other day. What's not to like? Not even a huge security presence in the evenings as kids hang about there, skateboard etc.

i think we should try it just once on a match night

I would be up for this.
We wouldn't last 5 minutes in Cleaver square. But outside the Emirates sounds like a very good idea.
Do they not have their own security there at night though? -

There will prob be a bod in an office dozing infront of his cctv. However, Ive walked thorugh in the evening beofore and there have been people wandering about, kids playing football etc. it all seemed pretty relaxed. Not sure how many people you would need to cause difficulties but it is not like it would be a monster gathering or causing aggro. The pub next to Drayton Pk station is a good meeting point then you can roll over the pedestrianised bridge to the stadium. The whole area is car free and open to the public.
mr smith, getting moved on from more london is easy to avoid if you are skating, just get up in their face when they say anything, and if they do anything else just skate off to another area of more london this is especially true if your in a big group. as for cleaver square i doubt we will get too loud, were only going to be drinking and cycling around in circles.
