Very rarely. They used to exist from some of Zwift's partners, like x% off with a cyclingtips subscription if I remember right. But Zwift do allow you to suspend your account for any month that you don't use it, you can re-activate any time. I normally suspend my account for the summer and then boot it back up in October, all my previous 'progress' and achievements etc are still there.

Ha, reminds me, borked knee means I should cancel Zwift. No need for it for a couple of months.

Anyone got a recommendation of some free training software that'll connect to my smart turbo to set resistance etc? Thinking of something to just set a power goal while I watch youtube.
-
• #4506
Which turbo? Wahoo's phone app can do that.
Computrainer has a control panel that can do that.
I have a Neo too but never run that without TR software so not sure if they have their own software? -
• #4507
some version of the Elite Direto. I can't do a phone app because the bluetooth on the turbo is dodgy and I don't have a connector for the ANT+ dongle

Make a free account on Training Day
Select workout, send to a free Training Peaks account
Get your wahoo to sync it on the elemnt/works with garmin too
Let the bike computer control the turbo -

ANT+ dongles are cheap aren't they? You might get further with one of those?

Have we had this yet?

150 notes for a crap console controller?
I'm not totally against Mario kart zwifting but can't get over the price. Zwift seems to be pretty static in terms of development over time, so I can't see them releasing something that's halfway good. -

Yes that's a lot of cash, even at £99 special offer, when you can just use their app on your phone.
Or bodge a £50 game controller onto your computer mount and map buttons to key presses (on my to-do list).
(edit: didn't realise they featured braking/steering, but they don't seem to have any real use case)

I’ve got an old v2 Wahoo Kickr and want to get hold of a thru axle conversion kit like picture below. Any one got a spare or know where I can get hold of one? Seem to be sold out in the UK everywhere I look (as everyone seems to only stick the new 2018 onwards conversion kit). Thanks!

I meant I've got an ant+ dongle for the computer but no way of plugging it in to the phone. The bluetooth on the turbo seems dodgy.
-
• #4516
Ah, righto. What about a USB-C (assuming your phone is USB-C) adapter to USB-A and then plug the dongle in? I've never tried that (my old Sony had native ANT+ support) but maybe you could give something like that a go? Seems unlikely it'll work unless a phone app can use ANT+ that way.
Regarding the bluetooth - dodgy how? I presume you've paired it? Have you disabled other BT devices nearby?

I’m just round the corner, how does the snap work? Is it really dodgy ?
-

Right now it seems to be working. I was getting power fluctuations and drop outs but I've adjusted the position of the sensor so it sits a bit closer to the flywheel that seems to of sorted it. I only did about 3 sessions after that so potentially it might start dropping out again. Hopefully that's reflected in the price. If you take it and it fails in the first few weeks then happy to take it back.

I don’t think it’s going to be any better than my beaten up yellow fluid trainer.

Tacx Neo 2
Anyone know how many fans this has?
Did an easy 1.5h and the front drive side vent was humming so the fan was running quite hard. But there's other vent holes that don't have fans - is that right?

• #4521
Two I believe. Front and rear.

• #4522
I wonder why I can only hear one and if I should investigate?
-
• #4523
How many working ears do you have?
-
• #4524
Depends how you define "working". 0.25?

Have no idea if they both operate all times, or if one is tripped once the temp gets mental, sorry!
