  • Tiz cycling if you don't fancy paying

  • Yeah will look into a subscription if there’s not much kicking around for free!

  • I can never get anything to load properly on that website!

  • First recommendation is free.

  • you can stop paying trainerroad (or whatever you use on turbo) though

  • true; discount code: B4R-8AG5

  • Can you supply GoPro footage of CS7 for extra training motivation?

    Preferably in HD 4K

  • Dirty bugger. You'll have to subscribe to my Only Fans for that stuff.

  • I'll pay extra for any bus stroking

  • I can never get anything to load properly on that website!

It used to work, but it was pretty bad last time I bothered. Still loads of races if you have the patience

  • Ah cheers, your searching is better than mine!

  • ... aaand back to paincaving. When I sold my Suito December of last year (almost made a profit) I told myself my next turbo trainer would be a complete KickrBike/StagesBike/GarminTacxBike.

10 months later, after looking at badly priced 2nd hand options and the state of the stationary bikes tech/firmware-wise, only viable option turned out to be the Kickr Bike which is still £3k.
    So I didn't.

Went for a Kickr Core (new from Wiggle bundled with bad mat + desk) and also a Headwind/cassette/xdr from EU. It'll all be delivered this week and we'll be back to scheduled programming, in cramped space this time. Of course after tomorrow's 208k audax (240k from home) I might not be inclined to set it up for a while.

  • Another Vacmaster code posted on the TR forum. £20 off the remote control version.

  • I’ve got an Elite Suito trainer I bought off a friend.

He was running it with an XD freehub and lost the Shimano 9/10/11 speed one that came with it.

Before I buy a replacement does anyone have one that they’ve replaced with something else that they’d happily sell and post to me?

  • Will a wahoo kickr v4 be way more fun than a elite suito?
    Someone used both?

  • @disq have you used your Kickr Core much and how does it compare with the Suito?

Looking at finally upgrading my Muin and I have narrowed it down to one of these two

  • I will be listing a really good condition, barely used Tacx Neo 2T in the next few weeks.

I'll take pictures and put up a proper ad but giving folk a heads up if you're after a turbo. It will come with the wheel riser, cassette, all axle spares, a Vel foldable mat, and a music stand (as a laptop / tablet holder). I'd be looking for £800 for the lot which seems to be what second hand Neo 2T go for without any extras.

  • Anyone have any view on whether a Kickr is worth the extra cash compared to the Core?

  • Yes, it isn't.

  • Are there any options for supporting the fork without using a front wheel?
As in, I'd like a sort of stand to pick up the fork, that doesn't take the same room of the front wheel.

  • It’s much easier to leave set up (assuming you don’t have a designated turbo bike).
    Otherwise it’s just a turbo.
If you’re a narrow a factor rider you will have issues with the TT.
Also knowing that no matter how hard you doing around the place during an effort, you’re not going to break your favourite bike, or very unlikely to fall off, is a win in my book.

  • This is what I want to hear!

  • @disq have you used your Kickr Core much and how does it compare with the Suito?

I cancelled the Kickr Core (after finding out about the RCC Wahoo deals) and ordered the full Kickr v5. Probably unnecessary with the wattage I'm pushing, but I need to fold/unfold the thing all the time as there's no place for a permanent pain cave setup, also the zero-calibration thing is handy. It's very nice, accurate and SILENT, with the Suito I had calibration issues that weren't solved despite trying and comparing to the PM and talking to Elite etc. Could've used the PM for the power data directly but then ERG mode goes to the toilet.

  • You mean the kickr bike? No way I could justify this, but that's ok as it does look like I would hit my knees on that top tube!
Have a suito now, seems to work.

Contemplating what I can build as a turbo bike though.
