Same as @Bainbridge though, my Core has been spot on.

The zumo looks pretty good; shame I can't find them for sale in mainland Europe and buying from Halfords isn't an option as they don't deliver outside the UK.

I had an email from BC wanting to buy my Lemond, seems they're collecting them ahead of Tokyo.
Many I should keep it, and use it again!

Quick stupid question I think I’ve answered already.
I want to start using my cross bike on my direct drive. Bike has a 42-12 Turbo has a 32-11 both 11 speed sram.
Will I need to change the chain length to swap over or will it play just fine?
-
• #2581
It will be fine.

I “knew” that just had a strange horrible feeling of exploding a rd
-
• #2583
It's not like you'll be going over bumps or anything

Has the Cyclus2 fallen out of favour? I remember seeing lots of national riders using them (and gb too iirc), now it seems like lemonds and wahoos modified for fixed
-
• #2585
No idea, they like the feel apparently.
Personally the neo is just as good, and a lot quieter.
-
• #2586
Need to plug it in though...
-
• #2587
Yeah fair point. It does run without being plugged in though, but not fancy.
Maybe it should have a small battery.

Bought an Elite Suito. Only had a couple of rides but pretty good so far, no complaints. Power is somewhere in the region of my vectors and my Magene ridge dual too (unlike my bkool)

Thru-axle compatible dumb trainers. What's the best, best bang for buck, best avoided?
Is there a new JetFluid that will work with TA?
-
• #2590
The suito is good so far. Comes with a bag of axle adapters and a cassette already on.
-
• #2591
Elite do a TA converter for trainers. Then buy my old Fluid 2.

How does that work though if the turbo unit isn't wide enough for the 142mm arse end of the bike? I need to have a closer look at my turbo to see if that would work but I'm pretty sure I looked into adapters before I got my KICKR. Mine's a JetFluid though so maybe different clamp?

This is for a non-racer, just something to do a bit of exercise on. Think sub-£200, probably sub-£100 if possible.
-
• #2594
Saris do their own version too and say it is compatible
-
• #2595
There's this kind of thing but it's not compatible with my JetFluid Pro. I'm sure when I had a look, the only way to fit a bigger bike in was to somehow disassemble the clamp and fit a replacement - which doesn't seem to exist. Anyway, it's not drama as I use my Shiv in this for warming up at races only.

How much do you want for your Fluid2? I'll pass on the details to my mate.

I suspect I know the answer which is 'you'll have to change the cassette stupid' but let's give it a go..
Looking at the Elite Suito direct drive, primarily for my other half to train in our 1 bed flat (my setup is in the garage). The feet folding quickly away is important for storage and I think it'll be quiet enough (vs the Flux S which was the other choice but is heavy and can't be stored away).
Primary bike = 10 speed Shimano 4700, QRx135.
What are the chances that either of the following could be thrown on and work..
11 Speed SRAM Rival 1, QRx135.
11 Speed Shimano r7000, 142x12...change the cassette/the garage is your dungeon, amiright?
The not yet out 4iiii fliiiight is a little tempting to avoid bike compatibility and noise issues but won't store as easily.
-
• #2597
It will work. You'll just have to find a cog on the cassette that doesn't make noise and put the trainer in erg mode.
Direct drive is way worth it over wheel on.
-
• #2598
Thanks, never used ERG so that's great news.
-
• #2599
Yeah I've done similar, one of the biggest sprockets worked without noise and I never used the gears anyway

Is there a sensor out there that measures respiratory rate and if there is are there any apps that pick it up? Is there even an ANT+ or BT protocol for it?
Very very happy with my Kickr Core, hasn't missed a beat so far.
