The idea of patterned laser cut chainrings is cool...
But the bike looks like someone typed in 'fixie parts' into ebay and bought all of them.

Seriously... I mean, seriously!?...

a home made chainring is a very bad idea and most especially those patterned one.

• #7581
that is crap Ed, that looks like a decent, well made one,and more than likely laser cut,
compare the amount of metal left as opposed to the metal on a normal chainring

Face it Murtle, the bike looks wank and a custom chainring, albeit well made, won`t make it any less hideous.
-
• #7583
I think Murtle's point was more to do with the quality of the ring and the fact that Ed was talking out of his arse

it's not the bike, that is hideous

agreed on:
1) the bike looks wank
2) the chainring also looks wank
3) chainring is probably durable enough
4) Scoble was wrong*- no offence

compare the amount of metal left as opposed to the metal on a normal chainringwell it look pretty primitive in comparison to actual chainring, the appearance of that chainring doesn't give confident, that's why I though it doesn't look decent.
saying that I rather be safe thinking that's probably not as good as a decent chainring.

• #7590
How do you know it's even home made? I mean, have you heard and seen every bike product and company out there?
