^ I don't see a problem with that fuji, looks like a well used track bike & set up as such.
erm your getting it all wrong today.
i just think those wheels look terrible with the frame old and new dont combine well
plus the stem is on a nasty angle
a pair of black deep v's and areo bars with a straight angled stem would look much better and probably wouldnt cost much more
in my opinion he could have done better

Doesn't make it anti-porn.

It's a track bike built to ride on a track, not to lock up outside a pub in hackney.

It's a track bike built to ride on a track, not to lock up outside a pub in hackney and get stolen while you drink overpriced cooking lager and talk about some up and coming 'project' whilst reminding yourself to phone mum and dad later and borrow some more cash for some overpriced njs toestraps.
fixed.

never seen a real track bike then?
look at the gearing. you can't skid that.
look at the bars. clearance for forearms to use the drops (those handles down there, you know the ones you never use because they look so far away)
look at the tyres. tubs, skinny ones for going fast. -
• #4934
Talking of tyres, mine's going flat. Grr.

The Fuji is probably not bad enough to be here, but it's not pretty. The paint scheme is quite unpleasant, and aesthetically it looks a bit wrong because it's obviously set up for Madison racing, and Madison bikes never look as good as sprint bikes.

It that the reason for the low profile rims?
Are aero considerations secondry when there are so many riders on the track?Looks like a simple case of function over form to me.

The high handlebars were the thing which suggested Madison to me. The low profile rims might be as simple as the rider not having the money for something more fancy, or he might just be showing us his training wheels.

I don't really get these softrides..probably a dumb question, but wouldn't you lose a hell of a lot of energy when you start bouncing up and down when pedaling hard..?
Probably, it seems like that to me due to my non-existing proper pedaling skills, but still..
why would you want a shock-absorbant seat for your roadbike?Edit:
Didn't think that it may be only for more seat-adjustment possibilities, but still, it looks to be a very soft (as the name suggests, ha!) and bouncy kind of ride.. -

why would you want a shock-absorbant seat for your roadbike? They were designed for things like RAAM, where typically you're on the bike for very long periods but with quite a low cadence and well below 'flat out' effort. Under those circumstances, it's reasonably easy to pedal smoothly enough to avoid bobbing up and down, and the bounce is there when you need it, e.g. hitting a pot hole you didn't see due to it being 3am on the fourth night of a 3000 mile epic.

Thanks, didn't even think of that.. but it makes sense though, making it a bit more comfortable to ride for long races..!
