I'd just change the front wheel.

thought provoking design but i do still think this is anti. the rear brakes.. :(I would not like to drop heavily onto the back wheel - its those wire seat stays which don't inspire confidence. Rapidly spinning knobbly tire up the bum chuff anyone?

Err...i'm guessing you didn't notice the wire chainstays too delivering an equal pulling force and preventing the chainstays from flexing too far?
Slingshot have been using cable downtubes for over 20yrs and their frames are amazingly strong...and have won several international xc races and titles over the years.

Isn't that a BLB bike^^?

i think the shiny nipple at two o'clock on front wheel and ten o'clock on rear look sweeeet (4549)
-
• #4739
I don't think it's that bad, the only thing that look silly is the handlebar, and perhaps the ever-popular Velocity rims.

Both rim stickers at 2'oclock.Well,nearly. -

Stickers off, forks changed, different handlebars and it will look just about alright!

• #4742
Nobody going to mention the number of spacers...? Really?
-
• #4743
Yes its BLB.
I just thought it typified anti-porn. Lots of expensive/hi-end parts put together badly...
...also I don't think red anodizing ever really works... and colour coordination is a dangerous thing in the wrong hands.
Aren't egg-beaters were a no no for fg?

Aren't egg-beaters were a no no for fg?
why?
-
• #4745
I'm sure I've read here that they're not as secure as other clipless, and bc of the extra forces with fg riding so weren't as good.
But as I've never used them and use clips, I could well be wrong.

the cheap model are not very good and are likely to break (steel), whether the expensive titanium one are fine, it's not usually idea because you'd need to keep your feet straight otherwise you'd unclip yourself, risky when brakeless.
althought I like eggbeater, they felt pretty solid and comfortable, althought it's on my road bike at the moment.

The spacers and all that seatpost are a symptoms that the bike's too small.

Yeah I know, but usually that sorta stuff is picked up on quite quickly here, I was surprised nobody had said anything yet.
