I guess a mid-00s freeride bike? Quite tame compared to some

I had a mate with one who used to only use it at Esher Shore. When they bulldozed Esher Shore I think he stripped the parts and put the frame on the wall.

@umop3pisdn is correct. Giant Acid 2. Seatpost is all kinds of wrong. They bend when you have them like that.
Mine is also a bit anti at the moment as it’s a parts-bin build… the Kenda tyres were the only spares I had. Mine’s a single speed knee-killer.

I agree re; that bike but according to MIT's Bicycle Science, heavier bikes have an advantage in hillclimbing. As far as I could understand it, I think it's due to momentum, but it sounds on the face of it like a bizarre assertion to me, too.
-
• #47011
Errrrmm... If that's where the case heavier riders will climb better too because of "momentum". Maybe they're speaking about going down?

The cable game creates a turbulence that makes your body cut through the air like a knife through butter. Not sure if uci legal though...

given the price of outer cables that bikes got to be worth at least £100

Electric fixed gear, haha wonder if there’s a mash collab in the making..?

"since the bicycle pedal and rear wheel are directly connected as they have no flywheel". Do any bikes have a flywheel?! (except exercise bikes)
-
• #47022
flywheel
That's our old German friend Otto Korekt not knowing that freewheel is a valid word. Either that or the writer is a moron, which on reflection seems more likely.

Yes the proportions look a little wrong to me too, but's primarily a hill climb bike, so a smaller frame (lighter and stiffer) makes sense, plus the owner may have asked for a little steerer to be left out so he can tweek his position.
I'm no Isen fanboy and this bike doesn't particularly appeal to me but there's a lot of assumptions being made here...
