About 3:1 in top, yielding a gear of over 80". More than adequate for a pub bike.

How do you stop?

according to the ad it's set up as fixed gear and comes with a "16 or 17t rear fixie cog"

so I'd imagine when you backpedal or skid the derailleur just wraps upward and slams into the frame and spokes slowing you down quite efficiently
