  • *in reference to the lady

  • it wasnt a serious comment scott , it does look like a lot of faff for a bike. next step would be motorbike kinda' thing.

I'm still waiting for someone to explain which parts are a lot of faff? It has brake cables, gear cables, tri bars, gps, and lights...pretty standard for a distance TT bike...so which bit is so much faff that the next step is a motorbike? anyone?

i think this is a fuckin great TT bike - built to be fast
IMO they could have done something nicer with those cables coming out by the stem
but its nothin like a motorbike

  • Ah it's not the worse looking build frankly, the worse of that Brooklyn is simply the fork.

Shit, maybe is just me but why would you spend £700 buying a frame, far from being one of the lightest, it´s a trick frame right!?... and then, take one if not the best thing about it (forks), spend another £700 with parts that don´t even make sense together, clearly don´t suit the geometry of the bike AND ABOVE ALL THIS ask someone to take pics of it as if it was the next best thing around!!!?... mate, i don´t care really, but this shit comes on a daily basis to bike forums, posted by people that run bike businesses (w-base)... makes me sad. If you´re into making bikes your life achievement... to me this means bankruptcy!

  • the brake.

...surely you'd go Brooklyn fork with canti studs (or weld 'em on yourself a la Scott) rather than bollocks-up the geometry like that?

My only problem with that bike is all the words written all over it. But as a bike, it makes a lot of sense.

  • i tell you what... there are some fucking weird attitudes towards bikes around here. is it just a form versus function issue, in general i mean? people seem to love a lot of trendy shit but can only enjoy something functional by first labelling it 'utilitarian porn'. what does that even mean?

    motorbike? what the fuck?!

    Sincerely,

    sweary stan

what about the ridiculously out of place carbon fibre track wheel?! if we're being logical then the fork is far from the only anomaly.

    Agreed.

(That said, I'm a sucker for a pretty bike).

  • Why can't things be pretty and functional? Surely it's not porn if it doesn't have both attributes.

  • TT bikes are nearly always porn IMHO. Partly because they are totally focused on one purpose, and thats going forwards, bloody fast. Partly because it feels like you can own Bluethunder's smaller brother.

One of my favourate TT/tri bikes. (not posting the pic in this thread, it would be wrong)

Needs Xentis wheels and bars to complement the stealth fighter look.

Has anybody ever won a major TT on an Ordu?

  • TT bikes are usually porn because Batman could quite easily own one.. That's reason enough for me.

  • ^genius. the perfect argument.

  • i think they don't look good when your buying a Cornetto from the Spar on the corner though.

    Like Chris Bling?

EVERY bit on that brooklyn made me weep.

    Batman and Robin

    Posted not as anti (obviously)

  • ??? this has nothing lost here not even for a stupid comparison like this. Oldschool! Pansy!

too bad about the paint job

  • too bad about the paint job

that's sort of standard for tt bikes though, no? lots of big logos everywhere, so people know that you spent A FUCKLOAD OF MONEY ON YOUR BIKE!!!

the bigger the logo, the faster you can go, i hear.

I thought is was a combination a logo size and the shear number of them.
