Not good, could use a shorter fork. saddle needs to be level and it looks like the bars could be made a lot shorter. But it's not that ugly (not pretty either but look at the earlier bikes on this page for real ugly, especially the first blue one). Considering the frame and leather etc I would opt for old school rims though.

Three Bricks™ of stack, that must be some sort of record?

And on top of that...that brake lever. Wow.

Are they some sort of clamp on drop bar-ends or something?

I think he was sick already when he built that up.

The original Newk ones were also available with ski-bend bar ends integrated with the clamp-on drops, for people completely undecided about where to put their hands

Don't think so, although he was always a little crazy

True that.

Magicman might be quick enough to pick up d2z sponsorship, but his new bike certainly has a lot of untraditional angles going on...
Late as always but would this be close to replicating the Obree superman position ?

More praying mantis than superman

That angle makes the front wheel look very strange! Or is it just warping under his immense power and speed?!
Also, what advantage could this aero bar position possibly have?

For some people with big shoulders it's faster. He's been in the tunnel and it works for him.

Looks out of round, but maybe rolling shutter or something like that? And how big is he? Wheels look like 650's.

700c wheels, just a dodgy photo

http://sheldonbrown.com/org/thorn/I have a thorn with a cut steerer. i can confirm from the thorn forums Scoblebricks(tm) are perfectly acceptable and some people don't cut the steerer to hang all kinds of things from like bar bags
Each to their own

Or there's always this rather elegant solution :-) -

Makes me think of this, which in turn may give ideas to NAHBS builders...

I've been terribly unimaginative when it comes to handlebars :-/
The Eine Hate bike.
Is it a weak AYHSMB reference?
That ship sailed, see above.
