Yep, that's my friend Myles' bike. The combination of that frame and those forks is a bit 'special'. He's a speedy old chap though - he's done a sub-8 hour Fred Whitton Challenge, which is good going by anyone's standards.

Yeah - that's mine!
Perhaps I ought to explain...
I live in Edinburgh (wet, plenty of hills) and like riding in traffic. None of this combination sits well with the pathetic braking performance that damp Mavic ceramic-coated rims give you after a bit of use. Road-bike mini-discs didn't exist back then - so I had to use some rather long cx disc forks. I was still playing with the setup when I took that post-build pic - hence the final trim of the steerer was some way off.
Sledgehammer to crack a nut? Mebbe ;-P

It's not very pleasant to look at but I think that after he levels the saddle it can be a very good bike to ride. It hurts just looking at the angle

That's BRP Scott's, certainly a strong look.

Someone find the chocolate donkey in touring mode.
Rad, not bad.

That BMW needs purple components
-
• #33390
Nothing ever needs purple components. Not even a bike with gold components.
-
• #33391
Especially not one that's in the "poo brown" colourway.
-
• #33392
So much low// logo rip off…oh and anti…

im pretty sure ive had a go on the same bike or at least same build, at a bike show where BMW had a stall.
-
• #33394
the frame sets certain expectations this build fails to meet.
-
• #33395
Not a fan of the chub, but anti is pretty harsh?
-
• #33396
Those frames are anti regardless of the build
-
• #33397
(Whispers it) I like the colour a lot, but I don't really get the C-track hype either. Especially not for the prices they tend to go for.
-
• #33398
Old Cannondales suck as well. They were just cheap copies of Kleins without the technical advancements. Plus, they were ugly.

Would have been a perfectly ok ish retro city bike type thing from foffa or whoever it is that punts out this sort if thing. But dat stem took it over the edge, baby.
