Hardly a good idea to turn it into an indicators even, as the bicycle is far too narrow to do so.

Looking back + performing hand signal is much more effective.

whatever ever they do, the bars are just a basic fail ergonomically. Eeven when wrapped they look like they'd be horribly uncomfortable.
