Why not? like I said it's a tri bike, some ride clipless, some with running shoes, even some have running shoes with cleat in them, which probably would account for that pedals.

The geometry is clearly designed to get the riders position forward over the pedals but the saddle to bar drop is negative when riding in the extensions so I'm not sure it would do a lot for teh aeros.
