Fizik should sue!
I think Fizik are to blame for this, who manufactures a blue & sick green saddle?
This is the only way it couldve turned out.

What wheel is that on the Basso? I don't like it, but i'd like to know what it is..

Probably someones cup of tea, but not mine!

I agree. There are currently 3 frames that I can think of that deserve historic acknowledgement, for being different to the crowd and going their own way.
And these 3 are still being made.
The Pedersen of Holland (and in part, the UK).
The Paris Galibier and
The Flying Gate (first of Bates, and now of T.J.Cycles)I'd be proud to own any of the above.........
Sorry, but porn to me.

I know they're "classic" but the flying gate and condor are hideous, they look broken in my opinion.
Also not keen on the wheel combination on the basso, or the crank. Don't the carbon spiders on those fsa's end up slipping?

At first glimpse I liked it.
Minus the yellow painted lugs and shite painted cranks, that bike wouldn't be so bad. The bar tape is quite, in the words of lars ulrich, stock.
-

I can't believe he's forgotten to paint the crank arms..
What, for the love of Pengy, is going on?
-
• #2086
I'm no hater, but I read the back-story of this beautifully painted frame, it made me sad... My issues are the handlebars / wheels. (and perhaps the geometry.?)
Hand-painted logo and pinstriping... sniff-sniff.

Bullhorns are never ever good. Plus deep rims & fat tyres on vintage track bikes suck.
But aside from that that bike is beautiful. The top tube angle does look a little odd, perhaps its meant to have a 650 on the front?
-
• #2088
I agree that the frame is beautiful, and seating and cranks..
But if the (1) curved seat-tube, (2) old-school geometry, (3) pin-striping are meant to evoke images of classic (old) bicycles, and the owner has paid $$$s for a custom frame, I really don't know why he put those weird-ass handlebars on there.
...and CXP rim with the sticker on - do me a favour! -

with a simpler and less over the top colour scheme that would be pretty nice i think

Yep, it's a paint job away from being pretty nice.

^^ and needs to get rid of those janky crankys.

1+
the design may look odd, but it's very awe-striking at the same time.
it like the Lambo Miura (kinda), it's a flawed piece of design, but ultimately a beautiful car that I would love to own.

Poorly executed idea, what a waste of a beautiful frame.
-
• #2094
Apart from the crankset andy what don't you like?
-
• #2095
Wank bartape
Wank saddle -
• #2096
Bartape, saddle, brakes, drivetrain, tyres. It's all too incongruous for me. I love the frame, but at £1200 for the complete bike it's not worth it as the parts wouldn't recoup much.

The kickstand on the back wheel.
