Well, you wouldn't want to actually close, since the pads are lined up with the tyre rarther than the rim.

Remove the bottle cages, frame, forks, wheels, brakes give it clipless pedals and some decent tyres and you have a nice Mtb

It probably doesn't even have a bridge as the brake is mounted onto a plate which clamps onto the seatstays.

Even if it had a brake bridge this fella wasn't daft enough to drill it, thank god.

I don't think the suggestion of it being a 'dummy brake' is illogical. We've all seen plenty of bikes in here with brake levers in places which make the brakes about as useless as the one on the Cinelli.

So it is in anti because it is being ridden on public roads.
