Too right, I wish people would stop it.

No, it doesn't. 650 at both ends on a grown-up's bike always looks wank, super steep seat tube tri-bikes always look wank. It actually looks better as a conversion, although still thoroughly warrants inclusion here.
The angle of the picture of the conversion kind of conceals the difference in seattube and headtube angles, which makes the geo look a tiny bit less wonky. Otherwise I think the build is quite shocking and heaps more ugly than the tt/tri bike. The tiny gear, random mishmash of parts and especially the attempt at colour coding that clashes all over the place makes it truly repulsive.

I see what you're trying to do, but whatever man, grow over it. It's the interwebs.

shame? That's a beauty.
Indeed, for clarity. I wasn't implying that the classic Z team replica bike, adorned as it is, with various bike jewellery in the form of period correct Campagnolo Chorus bits was anti-porn. Rather that the retrospective addition of honking some zebra striped bar tape allied with the aero bars, not to mention the comedy saddle somewhat detracts from a thing of retro goodness, thus rendering it. Anti-Porn.
Imagine, if you will, fresh white bar tape, chorus brake levers (white hoods) and say a black Concor on that, we have a winner.

Front end arrives at your destination half an hour earlier than the rest of it on that thing 'food posted. Clearances as wide as Terry Venables. Self-delusion bike.
on the upside 2 extra places for bottle cages. this bike is an outrage.

i loved the wall and the floor. Great scenario for pictures. The bike ruined it
The grille was nice on the air vent but I'm afraid that I will have to disagree with you on the floor.
Nothing against Parquet per se but I do not like the white beading used to mask the edges in this example. It makes the skirting boards look wrong and gives an entirely incorrect border to an otherwise acceptable floor.
As for the bike, the tyre labels have not been aligned with the valves, I just can't get past this so cannot even consider the rest of the setup.

Are you sure you're right about the addition being recent? The Scott tri-bars and Selle Italia lumbar support saddle are period correct, as indeed is the rather garish bar tape.

Double spokes or tri spokes, or double spoks, or double tri spokes?

Whatever interpretation of your comment I think I don't agree.

Valid point, but I remain resolute.

The forks alone would buy a whole new (really decent) bike.
-
• #18322
You'd need to be quick to pull that off.

For anyone who hasn't clicked on the link above here's a pic. I think this is a seriously good looking bike, the colours are not to my taste but that's a moot point as I doubt they only come in one colour combination. I love the frame (hopefully it's in something lightweight, no idea currently as there are no details) it really is a bit quirky but in a good way:
Is VanUden in the pay of Foffa, or does he just have no taste?

i posed that foffa mess a few months ago when it got nicked from outside his shop. maybe VanUden is the one that took it?
