It be very interesting to see how it is from a cycling instructor preceptive, especially when the unwritten rules there are usually bigger vehicles = more priority.
Can't wait to tackle the Andes.

He means no harm :)
But I just come across so many people with this mentality... it's just they usually are twice Ed's age.

Found a bike for this thread and for Ed. Two birds one stone!

Hah, right place for it, I'd prefer something like a Larry Vs. Harry other that contraption.

Seems like this bike carries a curse from it's original owner...

To What, fuck knows who they were anyway.....just heard lots of bollocks about trick bike beef, about the most lame gang war there has been since West side story..

Yes, but it's not the sign of a good mechanic
I dunno, I went in to ask after a job (a mate that works there said they needed someone for a day a week) and they didn't give me a second look, which means they must run a fairly tight ship...or something...

Still the same name. Just new logo that looks like someone dropped a stone in their puddle.

Capping cable ends is basic. If it was my bike I would refuse to pay until they rectified it. Then again, I don't take my bikes to bike shops except for insurance quotes or suspension service/rebuilds

Erm, I was being facetious.

I should head over to the fail thread and post a picture of myself

Been there Andy.
That 'bike' became LFGSS 531 approved, over a year ago. ;) -

Nothing wrong with that bike, but QR is on the wrong side.

Nothing wrong with track specific cranks/chainring/pedals (= Tiny Q factor), track saddle/seatpost on a cargo bike.
Definitely nothing wrong. -

That 'bike' became LFGSS 531 approved, over a year ago. ;)I can't see Ed needing anything more in S.America...any talk on gearing, panniers, loading carrying is balls compared to a Kestrel co pilot and multi Cockrel carrying...
-
• #16649
Are they really track specific though?
-
• #16650
What a Kestrel?
Looking forward to Ed's reporting of cycle etiquette in south america.......should take a while........
