Listing my own bike in the anti-porn thread, in all its unipack lovelyness! ;) While I'm hear searching for some bits for a real bike

Its a rare opportunity to actually speak to an owner. So I've got to ask....what where you thinking?

No posting your own bike rules apply?
I hope not.

posting your bike in anti-porn is fair game I say. Shows you don't take yourself too seriously.

Frankly, it's fine to post your own bike in anti, especially since it's anti.

I bought it when they were only £150 new, as a cheap way to try out a fixed gear. Never had any problems with it. I reckon when it goes on ebay I'll likely recover the majority of the asking price back.
Now I know I enjoy the fixed gear thing, I've got a rust free, late 1940's Dayton clubman 3 speed frame, 531 tubes with Nervex lugs (that hasn't been built up since it was re enamelled 45 years ago), Chater pedals, Williams C1200 crank set, fixed/fixed Airlite hubs, an unused pre '60's Brooks Professional, plus a lugged stem and a few other tasty bits which will probably be my next fixed bike when I get some 27" rims. Although I'm still considering a weight weenie fixed bike instead?

^ pretty backwards way of doing things... smaller front wheel, yet huge stem rise? check out the drop on the brake... it's not far from being quite a nice conversion, just the wheels/tyres and needs tape to go with the brooks.

Could be nice. Although I'd probably lose the pedals, brake and cable housing while I was at it.
-
• #13899
Should probably just buy a bike that fits

Absolutely horrible, and dangerous, with a wrong sized front wheel and the stem looking like it's over the minimum insertion line. Unipack rear wheel?
what and why
