Its a 'funicular' bike designed to up and down (backwards) the same 20 Deg hill all day.

Lacoste been Scobled?

Come one, it'd be very cool if they changed the color pattern and the cranks for something less cheap-looking. With a proper set of fenders, it would make a jazzy commuter.

The strange Cinelli above - is it just me or is that a left sided drive train? The sprocket looks like it's not though. I now have a headache contemplating it. Optical illusion or potatochop?

Does that Benotto have a chain tensioner for a conversion, on a frame with vertical/no adjustment drop outs?
The mind boggles.
-
• #12441
Nah, they're horizontal dropouts with a tensioner put on by a mongo.

Doesn't look like they can have more than a mm or 2 adjustment...

Oh dear. I failed to see that pic. Tensioning a chain with a magic gear is fun.
I've never used tensioners. I just tighten the nuts enough

Speaking as an avid BMXer, the environment behind the Merckx in the link looks just unreal.
Looks like a level of Tony Hawks!

I don't know if the modern tubing really goes with the brooks and bars. and there is alot of white. but belt drive is cool.

I've been looking about for that faired bike, and I found it over on Velospace (linky).
It's also on the Pedal Mafia site somewhere, but I can't navigate it.
It's got a rear brake, TT style, behind the bottom bracket. I have a sneaking suspicion it's a single speed. Can't REALLY tell from the pictures, but I think it's a ss sprocket, for some reason. Also, the larger picture of the dash shows that it has both a dial for Shimano 7 speed and Shimano 8 speed.
I dunno why, surely it's either one or the other? I think the track drop outs are removable, from the picture, so maybe it's supposed to be geared and grip shifted? The other wire is clearly for a front wheel speedo that the guy hasn't wired in.
I might be totally wrong, but I think he might have found a downhill bike and basically killed the puppy. Sad times.

It's a Moser. Is ugly, that's all, the components are obviously cheap and selected without taste. It's wrong from whichever angle you look at it, isn't it?
Now the interesting part. I found the bike on an auction site, where the usual price for an average steel fixie doesn't go beyond the 400-600zł level (ca. GBP150). This one is going for 2000zł and still one day to the end of auction. Can anyone explain? Is there something about this frame? Hard to google it as I cannot see any model name or whatever, only the Moser logo.
