That's caffeine-induced paranoia.

Wayne: I just bought a Gaggia Classic like yours. I might keep the Baby Class for spares.
People out there have cheap home grinder suggestions?

I thought someone would make a joke about flicking switches, bulbs or such. I commend you on thinking outside the Ly-chester Square.

No stove tops for me. It's all about the (faulty) espresso machine collection I'm building.
One day I'll get one that makes a coffee! :) -

Hippy - I'm using a dualit burr grinder until funds are released for a better grinder

There's some more on ebay at the moment, including a pickup-only from Woking you might get cheap (if you can stand going near Woking ;)).

We got a new Classic last year in the sales.
FWIW, between me and Anna we blew up the boiler in a Vice-Versa, and killed 2 Krups Vivos before we decided to buy a decent machine.
Can you use stove-tops on an electric hob?
No reason why not, and the handles melt just as easily on an electric hob as on a gas.

What's makes a better grinder than the Dualit?
Wanna sell me your Dualit to fund your better grinder? :) -

Yes. I did.
I use the quick burning plate at the front, set it to 5 and it takes ~6 minutes to 'fire'. -

Gotta go commercial FTW. Upgaditis usually takes hold in under 3 months with domestic espresso grinders. At the risk of opening a can of worms, in my own experience I would not recommend the KA for spro.
