Bit like a picopresso with an air valve. Not a bad idea.

Just stumbled on it whilst looking at coffee stuff I don’t need or can afford

Peach is on trend apparently. Both excellent, Radical Roasters offering was so sweet on the tongue and the after taste. Honestly felt like drinking a juice rather than coffee.
The KillBean offering is much more "normal" but with a great peachy tea flavour.

I also had the RR peach fermentation coffee recently! I enjoyed it for its novelty but I wish the peach didn't overpower the actual coffee so much

I really like the very fast warmup.
How is the espresso though? What type of coffee are you using? With lighter roasts I'm wondering if the preset temperature is causing me issues. On the other hand I haven't run a cleaning cycle for... a while so maybe I ought to do that

Using Origin's Stronghold dark espresso blend and 18-19gish with my Mazzer Major.
Espresso is fine tbh. The portafilter needs a good half pint of blank shots through it to get it heated properly though in my experience, which I definitely not used to. I'm used to wild machines that run nice and hot like a La Pavoni!
My machine wouldn't let me bypass the cleaning (backflush) cycle yesterday morning - is there a way to override this? I know you can override the descale but not sure about backflush.
Take your shower screen off and clean it, also remove the shitty plastic disc in the portafilter if using stock.

I didn't mind the fact that it was difficult to tell you're even drinking coffee, but I wouldn't want to drink that every day for weeks. I like variety and I like getting to taste a real range of coffees, so it was good to sample something so different.
It's an interesting discussion point though because I'm sure some would argue, what is "actual coffee"?
I think the cost is prohibitive for me to drink coffee like that for every cup, but even if I could afford it I want to have different tastes and experiences. I'm not across every single innovation in growing and processing obviously, but last couple of years it has felt like it's just a competition to see who can make the most fruit juice tasting coffee.

Oh yeah I don't really think there is a way that coffee should taste, but in this case the coffee was fermented with peaches, so to me there's a clear divide between the peaches and the coffee itself.

Yeah. I do the same. So this happens

You must be so proud! That’s a nice looking machine.

Had a meeting with a prospective customer and he asked me if I wanted a coffee and I had to stop myself asking about what beans he uses. Then politely declined what I’m assuming looked like freeze dried coffee.

I'll get it serviced before I even turn it on. There's a servicing business that sells these just round the corner. I got it for the price of a new Gaggia Classic basically.

Looks brand new? Is that the Elizabeth - bit jealous if so, always thought they looked excellent.

I asked why he sold it. The guy went "I just didn't keep it clean enough". His house was immaculate. And he had upgraded to and even more bling one with dual use for steaming and brewing at the same time.

I thought the Elizabeth was already a dual boiler machine tho?

Anyone want to recommend a coffee machine . We drink a lot of filter coffee , and thinking of an upgrade . Bean to cup would be nice , but would also consider a separate grinder / coffee machine set up . Something easy to clean would be great and value / good quality as opposed to a fashion piece that costs a fortune :)

Are you looking to drink less filter and move to espresso based?
something like a sage precision brewer or moccamaster would work for filter. Plenty of talk upthread on espresso - how much are you realistically happy spending?

I like large Americano’s , and only do filter as that is all we can do without any machines . Is £500 a good number , but that is top end .

Definetly want an espresso machine and will take a look through the thread to see what people are saying :)
