Tried out Lodestar coffee in a Clapton a few times over the last couple of weeks and I've been really enjoying the filter coffee they're serving up and the space is really nice too.
I think I actually became aware of them due to RHoC which I don't know what to make of. I'm trying to come up with some clever statement to reference that, I'm not sure if this is mimesis or just memes.

My 78s has arrived!

JFC there's whole fucking academic papers written comparing mimetic theory with memetic theory. What fucking philosophical rabbit hole have I just launched myself down.

I'm now very much regretting cancelling my Timemore order right now. Hope they're awesome guys!

How’s the Elizabeth? It’s my affordable dream machine.

It's a banger. For me it's all I ever need. Upgrading would be pointless as this does everything I want.

Build quality is unbelievably good considering the ridiculous Kickstarter price.
Got some horrible cheap beans to season it over the weekend. -

We happened across this cafe/roasters the other week in Sherborne, Dorset. It is really rather good. I'll be going back without the kids and with the bike next time.

Yeah - I was tempted but the Niche is good enough and I was deep in house Reno saving

I only ran my 500g odd of leftover beans through it and have been pulling visually clean and tasty shots. Think I'll ride it out for now, rather than dump a lot of beans through.
What horrible beans were you planning on using out of interest? As crap £2 bags still add up.

I've heard minute rice can be used as a cheap alternative?
-
• #24870
I heard similar, but I also heard that coffee oils are part of the mythical seasoning process too.
-
• #24871
From my messaging with Kinu, the oil just acts as a protective/low friction coating. Maybe a couple kilos minute rice then a kilo of beans for the magic oil at the end?

Have any Bambino users considered switching from a 4-hole wand tip to 1-hole?
-
• #24873
Not a bambino buy I did this on my la pavoni and it was a massive upgrade for 20p and a bit of time with a drill!

Same here. The difference was night & day.

Yeah, remember reading about it in here and thought I might try it myself based on your results!
Same here!
