Thanks, haven't had square mile in years. Might try a bag and see how 350g sits/how it fits through the door.

Good shout.
Technically I want 280g
280g x 5 weeks = 14oog = 4 weeks x 350g.

It does what it says in the can, would be ideal for your suggested use - in fact, I might do the same as my office has a Nespresso machine which I obviously avoid.
Only thing to be aware of is that it uses mini little filter papers that can be difficult to get hold of (although you can just cut down full sized ones).

I bang on about them but Ancoats Coffee Co sells mostly 350g bags instead of 250g

Cafe Hermozi 1kg bag once a month 🤘

bang away, will give 'em a go

Thought about kilo bags but A they wouldn't fit through the door and B it's at least 1.12kg I want per month and can't find anywhere (other than Pact so far) that does granular frequency of delivery days, I.e. I could order every 3.5 weeks

FYI - When I tried pact, it wasn't good.

Thanks, haven't ordered it yet - just trying out a few other 350g bags first and waiting for deliveries. Though I foiled my plan by stopping off at Hutong this morning and getting a bag of https://artisanroast.co.uk/products/trigonometry

Just realised I'm going to be in London for the coffee festival. Worth going to?

Last time I checked (I think this may have been somewhere around 2017-2019), the queues to get in were ridiculous and it was absolutely rammed. Went there a few years before that and it was decent enough but nothing special IMO.

Shame. I do remember hearing something similar. Might just go find some good cafes instead

Caught out on holiday in the lakes, figured I’d see what posh supermarket Booths had to offer. They had a decent selection of beans, and the packets even had a roasting date, went for a Yirgacheffe as a safe bet. I should have trusted my gut when I saw the price for 227g was £4.50 (on offer I think).
Absolutely shockingly bad. -

Thought it was worth asking in here, anyone looking to upgrade to the Niche Duo and wants to sell their Niche Zero?
I'm on the hunt for a NZ but would consider others in that sort of price bracket -

A bit out there but free coffee burlap sack anyone? rainforest alliance logo on the other side. ~90cm tall.

You could always grab 2 x 200g cans, then refills, from good coffee cartel. The refills are excellent, biodegradable and recyclable packaging.

Might give 'em a whirl, thank you. I like the idea of ordering coffee by the bucket as it happens. But yes, sensible refills are sensible. Also am super cautious about having anything metal that might get left on surfaces by less cautious members of the household to leave rust marks.

Anyone know what this wide-base moka pot is?
Alessi 9090 maybe?

The spout and that little tab to flip the lid look the same as the Alessi so I reckon you're correct.

I was about to recommend the £20 Ikea alternative, but found this:

I wonder if they'll make it again, with fewer exploding bits?

For classic alu pots I recommend these guys, but not really what you’re looking for.

Cheers.
Ooh, with Pact you can be granular on the refill frequency so I can get 250g bags every 6 days..
