Friendliest reddit comments I've seen in a while.

Depends what subreddits you frequent, the hobby ones I frequent are full of nice folks for the most part. Hell, even the F1 subreddit is the most civil social media discussion board I've seen for F1!

That’s fair tbh. The big popular subreddits genuinely make me despair.
And don’t get me started on any of the advice subreddits, lol.

looks like earthworms, don't worry they're good for the soil.

I've got that exact setup and not seen anything similar prior. Did the pull feel unusual in anyway? New (or very old) beans?
My first port of call would be to see if anything's up with the shower screen, maybe give it a good scrub.

Any recommendations for espresso beans? Particularly for cafelat robot and manual grinder.

Yellow Bourbon Espresso Blend is a great place to start. Code: DOASKID for discount.
https://yellowbourbon.net/collections/shop/products/espresso-blend-2On the same subject - I have a load of YB single origin that I'm working through but I'm about to run out of espresso beans. Any other recommendations for 1kg bags that are good/on offer to buy online?

Thanks. Went for Roundhill Roastery in the end but will add that to my list to try.

I found this pretty decent and good value at £19 a KG when you do subscription (You can then cancel subscription).
It was recommended a while back on this thread as well

I've been keeping a list of roasters I've tried + a few I'm yet to get to. Link below.

Add Ancoats Coffee Co to your list. I really like their stuff.

Thanks. I was loyal to Crankhouse for a long time but found the lighter roast and single origin was wasted on my espresso skills. Was coming out under extracted even when running nicely time wise. Will check out some more from your list though.

+1
I'm going there tomorrow to stock up infact (@ their Piccadilly approach site)

Oh nice, not heard of them before, I'll try something from them next.
@Monster1985 I have that long list and I still order from Crankhouse pretty much every time! Just filter for me so less room for error.

Fallen back in love with aeropress. Perfect holiday coffee setup

• #23267
I took mine on holiday recently. Turned out our hotel room didn't have a kettle so it spent the whole time in my suitcase.
Found two nice coffee spots though. This one had some interesting decor

We usually take a travel kettle 🤓 not even kidding!
-
• #23269
Which is needed bizarrely often as a lot of places just have the nespresso pod machines and no kettles these days

This is an interesting read by a roastery in Berlin about price increases and supply chain issues in coffee. It must be an incredibly stressful time to be running a business.

New to this threat - but I am a fan of coffee.
I have the DeLonghi grinder with a Gaggia Classic.
I mainly buy my beans from Coffee Real, they have a subscription service to try out different beans.
My favourite at the moment is Six AM which is a blend of beans.

Has anyone here tried these "travel drip" sachets from Ngopi Coffee?
Simple idea, just wonder how long they'll stay fresh for? -

Lols.
Indeed - it would be out of character if I didn’t spot a new gadget on the forum and didn’t buy it!
Thank you! I always appreciate a bit of context. They mention that they bought most used or refurbished and then there is this
