  • 770 euros! for now?

    woah

  • There are machines that come in at five figures -- 10k is a bit steep.

Looking forward to tasty tasty shots of coffee now...

  • I'm guessing (since I don't have PID setup) that your technique, bean choice and grinding will affect the end result far more than machine temp.

Also, look for second hand stuff.. far less than new.

I just found the massive double grinder next door is bolted to the bench.. theft fail. :(

  • Yeh, I figure I'll just splash out on the new kit. Piece of mind for guarantees and that. I will take the plunge once we've moved in, and if the lack of PID is ever a concern I can come back to that. Grinder first, then a silvia...mmmm

I have to say I'm loving the tags, never noticed before, but they're hilarious.

  • an new neighbourhood cafĂ© has opened at 103 shacklewell lane in dalston E8, called mouse & de lotz. they are serving square mile coffee, and munchables consist of homemade cakes and rustic sandwiches. the coffee execution is very good, and the space is very warm and inviting

  • Fuck yes! non pub weekend hangout sorted

  • if it's good of course

  • Doors are open at Monmouth roastery in Bermondsey this week as it's the World Barista Champs in London. I say open, but make an appointment first to get a proper look around. E-mail beans@monmouthcoffee.co.uk or call 020 7232 3010.

  • Had a bangin' cup of tea this..... oh shit.

  • so anyone going to the world barista championships? group ride?

register here for free entry (quick, free registration closes today)

  • i've registered, probably will only go on friday

  • i'm going to head over around 2:00- anyone else?

  • machiato from nude @ rapha.

  • My mate's Bialetti Moka pot safety valve isn't holding enough pressure. Are these a replaceable/serviceable part? I can't find spares for them.
