Yep, using 6mm quality bolts. The engineering and construction of everything on this make it extra nice to use.

Anyone tried a ROK grinder? Would you rate it?
Edit: never mind, ordered a 1zpresso jx pro

Let us know what you think of it. Torn between JX Pro and a Kinu Phoenix/Simplicity right now. I like the idea of all metal at that pricepoint, don’t like the idea of potential qc issues.

Our Gaggia is barely getting used... There's been an Aeropress revolution in our house, OH hasn't had an espresso since I brought it home... 🙃

Anyone doing the tasting? I'm horrendously hungover so this should be fun.
-
• #19232
Oh fuck. I forgot about this again, just made a v60 using regular beans. Doh!
-
• #19233
Phew!
The video will be available for anyone to watch within about 10-15 minutes of the event finishing. So if you can’t make it you can still taste alongside us at a time that suits you!
Tuned in as he filled the cups, tuning out to avoid spoilers.

I'm doing it. Good fun and quite interesting!
At the begining my wife was like WTF and then got really interested 😂

Didn't have time this morning so next week hopefully. Last time I did it after the event.

Anyone seen any tasty natural/honey/anaerobic beans around? In need of a new bag and always like to try new roasters.
-
• #19238
Not sure what anaerobic beans are but I've been consistently very happy with stuff from https://eightysevenplus.com/ lately. More floral/fruity than honey but certainly very tasty.

anaerobic and honey are bean processes. I won't try and summarise them because I'll just get the definitions wrong.
Thanks for the tip!

This is lovely: https://plotroasting.com/collections/all-coffee/products/israel-degfa-bale-mountain-natural on my second bag and would happily consider another!

Where are folks ordering v60 filter papers from these days? Last couple times I'd chuck some in my yb order basket but couldn't find any on the shop site today.

• #19242
i always do a bulk order direct from hario
-
• #19243
Not ideal but I had to order them from amazon a couple of weeks ago everywhere (including hario) seemed to be out of stock.

1zpresso jx-pro just arrived, is impressively heavy and girthy compared to my rhino.
Calibrated it and went for right in the middle of their pourover recommendation, and it's close enough! I'd say slightly courser next time and it'll be perfect!

Rapha, £3, does not compute.

Any intention to use for espresso? It's in my basket, just haven't dropped the coin yet.
thanks, wasn't sure if it was still valid.
