Canary Wharf. I'm not there often, but was I right to go to Notes at Crossrail Place instead of the alternatives?

Tried the upside down thing. When combined with Monmouth coffee the result is so smooth and delicious it makes the Nespresso we've got in work taste even ranker than it already did

Nice one. Are you making them long or short?
-
• #11630
Long, whole milk and a dash of sugar, sacrilege!

My fake porlex jp-30 grinder is slipping when it grinds, the plastic piece that fits inside the male burr has broken, anyone have any ideas on how to fix this to save having to buy a new one and be be less wasteful?

There's a new, second Taylor St in the Wharf now. It's much much quieter than the South Colonnade one, although it's a bit of a walk from most of the offices (hence being much much quieter I suppose).

While I'm here, Gataba from Rwanda which Workshop are selling at the moment is incredible through a v60 if you like filter coffee of the chocolate/cola/cherry rich sort of varieties rather than the light fruity stuff. Best coffee I've had for ages:

Is there anywhere near or around the St James Park area, to get a decent coffee? I'm working that way on the 19th. Need somewhere to hide, sip and work. Cheers in advance.

I know I'm going to open a can of worms here but what would you suggest for a good hand grinder?
Just got an Aeropress and want to get grinding! -
• #11646
I like my Porlex Mini.
-
• #11647
I also like my porlex mini. Makes a good travel kit for the aeropress, and is usable for daily grinding too. I've had mine for a couple of years.

Zassenhaus Turkish

I have a Zassenhaus too, though a conventional box model. It's great.
What Olly said - fit plunger first, then add coffee and water. Known as "the inverted method".
