I might be up for this, depends on the date plus healing and then getting fit.
Maybe sticky this? -

the trouble with riding in a group is that unless everyone can ride real close to the wheel in front (which involves an element of trust) the pace is only going to be of the slowest rider if you have a nobody gets left behind policy.
-
• #79
That is always a problem, plus punctures.
-
• #80
But it is better to be inclusive and have more riders.

And stronger riders can push slowies through their rough patches. Good practice for the madison event at the lfgss track day.

If everyone rode brakeless that wouldn't be an issue :0)
I'm also up for a Sunday before BHF day, but wouldn't be able to get into town from Kent for an early start, therefore I'd meet you whereever you cross the A25 (roughly the Bletchingley area). It wouldn't be cheating either as I would have to ride 25 miles to get there!

i'd be up for it bhf weekend or not but living in brighton it's easier for me either way

As 50x14 proved.. oh.. wait..
Just splinter the group. Have a fast and slower bunch.

non bhf day for me, early start ride to brighton, a swim in the sea, a massive lunch, a couple of ales and the train back sounds a great day to me.
cmon lets do it. and in the spring.
and if its a good weather forecast we could then do the bhf day and ride back. what date is the bhf ?
-
• #86
bhf is June 15th.

yeah it's not as if big groups of males meet eachother on the internet, then ride down to brighton and frolic in the sea :D

When I did L2B in 06, on the first big hill there was some dude in out pack shouting motivational shit like "COME ON EVERYBODY, YOU CAN DO IT! KEEP GOING! YEAH!" couple of us rolled our eyes, but he geniunely meant it and it did kinda help. Just as I hit the top I heard someone say to him "....I own a gym, do you want a job?"
hippy, think you can do it? ;-P

Coz I'd be throwing the empties at your head if you didn't pedal fast enough.
