  • So - is this definitely the 5th now?

Arse. I'm away that weekend. I really doing v badly at actually getting on these blimmin rides.

Still - won't get hit by the curse I suppose.

  • SHIT. I'm away that weekend, that Saturday Night to be precise.
How early are we leaving. Maybe I could do the ride, have a quick pint, jump a train back to London then go straight to Coventry. Shit shit shit. I have to do this ride again :[

  • I'm up for leaving early - depending on weather...
Looking at the long range weather report though does not fill me with hope -

    *Monday 31st March 2008 to Sunday 13th April 2008
    sheep in frosty field

    “Cool but less windy.”

Winds will generally favour a north to northwesterly bringing cool conditions with the risk of frost. Temperatures below average, well below in Scotland. Wettest conditions may be in the southeast.

  • I will be up for leaving Clapham at 10. Even earlier if others agree.
Though would not want to be earlier than 9.

  • i reckon clapham at 10 is cool. got to set off from east end if any waifs and strays want to suck on my wheel. yee haw.

oh, i think we are agreed this is on the fifth right? someone please confirm.

  • 5th for me. 10am at clapham is ok, although would prefer earlier. would be great if we're at brighton about lunchtime. allow sometime for others (eg object) to chill at brighton then headback early

  • Surely the starting point is Hyde Park corner?
If we could meet at 8 and set off by half past that'd be ideal...

  • I'm easy - can do 8 or 10, clapham or hyde...

  • yeah same here 8 , 10 Clapham, Hyde Park wherever

  • Eight and Hyde Park, you know it makes sense.
If we leave at 10 I won't be able to come :[

  • I'm up for an earlier start.

  • Earlier than 8?

  • now i said i was easy, but not 7am easy!

  • Route for Object

London to Brighton in the morning then you have all afternnon to do the second leg on your own.

  • i don't mind earlier if it means more people can make it, especially Object, who has a ghost to lay to rest, before going to the Ghost Town of Coventry.

  • come on Villa-Ru, we need you to change the title so it has date, start time, etc. get this little puppy sticky

  • TheBrick(Tommy) Route for Object

London to Brighton in the morning then you have all afternnon to do the second leg on your own.

Can you do it with an elevation map too :]

  • Yep, looks like we are getting some kind of consensus here.

5th April. 8am. Hyde Park corner.

Jonny, I will take you up on the offer of a free ride from east. I'm on Mile End rd.

Fatboyralph, will be good to meet you finally. I'll be there to make sure you don't stop up any of the hills. This is a training run for you after all :)

    Hoping the weather holds up.

    Andy

  • It's dependent on weather with me as there's two hill's I really don't want to do brakeless in the wet. That said it had been raining last time ;]

  • If it's going to be quite cold, like below 2degC then 8am is too early. Last time we left at 8am there was still ice on the roads an hour or so in to the ride.

  • We'd only made it to the the top of Brixton Hill at an hour into the ride.

  • Well done villa-ru. Now start time and place. Make it official.

  • Object We'd only made it to the the top of Brixton Hill at an hour into the ride.

Not in the "fatboyralph breaks collarbone" edition.
