Loads of stuff

Have they gone back to the cutaway seat tube?
-
• #82
Does it still require 2 wheels?
-
• #83
Im not sure : answer to both.

I'm going down on sunday, will take a peek. I ride a lavoro as my daily ride so the difference spotting should be easier.

Right. Saw the lavoro.
The top tube is curved, with a slight slope. The seat stays are also curved. Both of these parts have an oval cross section. The seat tube is circular. No lovely cutaway shape, geometry doesn't look as tight. The seat tube cluster did not look as sturdy as my 2009. Playing with fire perhaps given the problems...
Fizik arione saddle with rapha striping, and new rapha pink grips.Price point is around £500 for f&f, builds starting at £789.
I didn't like it. I think that the curve and slope makes it look like a rapha sponsored globe.

Thanks for that mate, much appreciated. Sounds like lots changed then.
Would it be sloping likethe Leggero then? That's how I picture in my head -

I took the Condor brochure and just had a look at it, but the Lavoro isn't in it.

The new lavoro should be available very soon as called em last week as getting new frameset and it's out of Look464 cinelli vig or lavoro, it sounded real nice when he was telling me and price is great...I'll have to wait to clap my eyes on it.

It might not have sloped by much, but the curve of the top tube exacerbated the visual impact. Have you checked to see if they have any 2009 in? If not they do show up on ebay, if you're not dead set on new. However the 2009 does twitch a bit on the road, this (2011) might not be as bad for that. Have you ridden one btw? It's a love or hate thing. Also the reach is quite short.
I don't see a link in the design at all to previous models, which is a shame as I think the 2009 is really lovely.

I ride a 58" potenza at moment an wanted to go ally next.
I'm doing it through c2w so options are limited really. I'd get the Look frameset
Most doing it for around 600 but through places that do c2w there over 800 :(Heard different things about the Lavoro for road use

I've got one of the OG Lavoros [with the blocked out graphics and cutaway seatpost]
they are proper twitchy though, not sure I'd want to have it as my everyday whip

I use mine daily, I even go to the supermarket on it. It's fast. It suits my frame. That fat tubing makes locking up with the wheels in a bit of a PITA tho.
Braking/ resisting at speed, especially downhill can make the back end slide around quite a bit, so have got out of skidding it so much, esp on less than level terrain (ie take your weight off and skid and whoopsie).

that's actually very flattering, she said darkly

i've got the same lavoro as wayne, i love it.

I lusted after the original blocked-out-graphics Lavoros for ages but could never scrape the funds together. This new one does nothing for me :(
-
• #97
Mine's the 2009, but in rapha pyjamas. I paid £500 second hand for it and it was like new and unmarked at that price.

I really like the new one (I know the curve may remind some ppl of the proverbiable dogs lower back).
Sleak and understated.
This is still one of the nicest tho:

Just rediscovered that thread and tried to convince my housemate to buy it, but he's too small (would fit a standard 53 frame, not one of those confusing slopey jobbies)

Hey it's on the new condor site!.... but it's the 2010 no cutaway but not slopey model. I don't know how this affects pricing.
Sloping TT
