Funny thing, I actually met Chuck D and Terminator X at Heathrow airport back in the late 80's on my way back after a short trip to London. No VIP treatment or nothing, they were just sitting there with some S1W's amongst us common mortals. Got them to sign my backpack and of course back in school nobody would believe they were genuine autographs. Oh well.

2nd album syndrome seems to bite harder in hip hop than any other genre. (Discuss).

Big hiatus between Licensed... and PB. It's not like they'd made loads of money and lost the hunger - they'd been up and then were right back down again.
PB did next to no sales until rereleased about the same time as Ill Communication. CYH is in my opinion their best album, so eclectic. The roundhouse instrumental gig became a kind of 'Don't Look Back' for CYH - I think they played all but one song off it. BBoys = consistent.
Not too familiar with the Biggie canon but what I have heard is good and people talk highly of his stuff.

Just seen this in a write up when they were in London June '06
Earlier that evening, Public Enemy played a show in London. Tickets had not sold well, and half the venue was closed off. On stage, Chuck gave his speech about the weapons of mass distraction and praised 'all my brothers and sisters from the Caribbean', though it's hard to see who in the audience he was referring to. Then the show ground to a halt. Someone started chucking cans of Red Stripe at them. One hit one of the S1Ws, exploding down his front. Griff came to the front of the stage, furious. 'We're up here trying to educate people,' he fumed. 'And you throw cans at us?'
