  • "I will only stay awake for the first quarter of the Bills / Steelers game"

Is the current plan. Let's see how that goes.

  • it's only 9.30, you can stay awake until halftime at least!

  • You’ll be safe heading to bed, feels like it’s going against the steelers. Fumbles, interceptions, down 14 even with the bills not upto their normal offensive standards. If the bills go up by 3 touchdowns, don’t see the steelers getting it back..

  • This the worst game I've seen the ‘lers play in a minute, safe to pack it in early tonight :(

  • What should have been 24 - 0 is now 21 - 7. Looks like we’re going to have to hang in there.

  • 👀 might have to eat my words

    edit: words are rere-eaten.

  • Well that’s that then. What the hell happened to the eagles? Is there any way any of the coaching staff can stay after such a collapse?

  • Not sure, could be put down to losing both co-ordinators to head coaching jobs. Don’t think Matt Patricia is the answer to any coaching questions. But I could be doing him wrong after his lions travails.
Sirianni you’d assume would be given another season, but there are so many good coaches available that the eagles could take a punt on one of them to get right next season..

  • I think the lions can beat tampa, I think. And if they do they’re a game away from the superbowl which would be a remarkable turnaround, and hopefully gives Campbell and Brad holmes even more time to keep this thing going..

  • Well done the Bills, made it comfortable in the end. The Dolphins and the Eagles both self destructed, naturally their fans have been blowing off but they’re still very good teams.

  • Holding out for a Lions Texans SB now. Nice to have so many likeable teams left.

Was flying out of Tampa on Sunday night as GB crushed Dallas and lots of arriving Eagles fans revelling in the salt. Wish I’d stayed a few days longer for the real schadenfreude now.

  • so many likeable teams left

    Spot on.

I agree with your final two too, they’re both great fun to watch. But as long as it’s not Tampa I’m not really fussed now.

  • Holding out for a Lions Texans SB now

Stahp! Even I won't dream that big. (Yet)

If we make the SB I will fly back to watch it with my Dad. He saw the first ever game in the Astrodome (exhibition against the Mickey Mantle Yankees) and saw one of the last Astros games there with me. He listened to my work on the Rockets titles, and loved the Astros WS wins too.

Houston is a football town. Always had been. Always will be. A Texans SB? With my dad? I would not miss that for the world.

  • I'd go for an 'anyone but the Chiefs' Bowl. It's a real entertaining line-up of teams left.

  • New Orleans and Cleveland now looking for new OCs

  • Holy shit. I am pumped. Let's fucking goooooooooooooooooooo!

  • The Ravens D has been a brick wall again tonight.

  • Commiserations @Aroogah

Really thought we had the 49ers this time. But they always get us in the end.

  • Commiserations to you both.

Margins were so fine but 49ers manage to find a way. Packers will be asking themselves what if.

  • The lions are the only morally acceptable team to root for now

  • Fuck. What a season! Worst to top 8 is pretty fucking good.

Ravens were stout last night and it was tight until Q4. I watched the Raven play the Titans this year and they are a good, good team. No shame in getting beat by the MVP in his own home with the best team in the league behind him.

I am excited for next season! New uniforms too! I cannot wait for silly draft season.

@Soul - I have no idea how you didn't win that game. You can join me in the "We have a very good young QB Club." Chargers fans can join. No Jags allowed.

Detroit can get past the Bucs. I think the Bills will finally get the KC monkey off their back.

Lions / 49ers and Ravens / Bills would probably rank up there with the greatest sets of Conference Championship matchups of all time.

  • Packers had a chance to put their foot on the throats of the 49ers and let it slip. Know they are young and (more importantly) have a good young quarterback, and they probably feel that their window is opening, and they’ll have another chance in playoffs to come, but feels like a huge missed opportunity.
NFC north could be good for years to come, if the bears make good use of their upcoming draft capital, if the packers young uns keep improving, if the lions support Campbell and what he’s building, and if the vikings find an above average quarterback, getting out of that division could be a similar dogfight/slugfest that the AFC north has become.

Really hoping that the lions get past the buccaneers. Know they should, they feel the more rounded team, better in most departments, and they seem like a better test for the 49ers if they get to the conference game. But….

Anyway really happy todays games are at a sensible time for uk viewers, can watch both and be in bed by 2am (fingers crossed they don’t go to overtime)

  • Let’s go!

Such a good set-up for bake-magic or bake-tragic on that last drive.

    Hyped for DET

  • Brilliant game! Buzzing for that guy's first interception of the season!
