I just don't know how to feel about that one... Does it get messenger respect or hipster derision?

-
• #59
yup, old school gear shifters.
I love em! -

I think it looks good for a gearie, you just got to make sure you keep it spick and span, otherwise it ends up lookin like a veritable pile of wank. :)

The facking Tomassini is butt naked !!!
Last night I torn from the frame some several ounces of red, here you can see what was under jonaent's (Jon) red powder coat . . . a frame !! I kind of knew it would be there.

I am having it sprayed up proper, not powder coated, as I have a full set of Tomassini decals to go on and then clear coat on top of that.
Next you say, next ? It will be finished then, I am riding it on the hubs, pushing it along, saddleless, with my feet. You, sir, are looking at my hip hip hobby horse.

I just know I'm going to be incredibly jealous when this is finished and pics are up. I need to start earning more dorra! What track ends are those? And roughly how much does track end "surgery" cost?

Nice Phils. Will look forward to seeing that one in all its glory!

The bike will be nice, but you wait till you see the old pig riding it.

Track ends are Pauls, the surgery by the boys at FGL should be around £60, should also be turned around in a day.

Nice Tynan! I saw one of the jobs Ted did recently and it was amazing! He took all the braze-ons off, filled the hole in the rear brake bridge, and the dropouts were perfect!
You'll be chuffed.
Looking forward to seeing it made up... -

I thought they looked like Pauls but the chain tugs threw me. I thought they came together. In which case...what chain tugs are those cos that's the logo I was trying to decipher initially!

They are just stuck on as a spacer to help me work out the fitting, (130 frame / 120 hub)
I probably wont be using them, I don't like the look of the big Paul screw adjusters, so I am going to make some small threaded rod ones (with a small hex hole at the top) like this below, except twice as long.
Did you need to know any of this ? :)

Do you have Paul track ends ?
Yeah, it be just as easy to make a few as just two as I will make them from long bit of rod.
Great - my first port of call was Google and then the Condor website, and I couldn't see anything there that was of a similar style, decor-wise. Having seen the prices that track frames have been going for on eBay these past few days as well, I didn't think I'd get something like a Condor so cheap either.
Once I've picked it up I'll post some shots here and send some off to Condor to see if they know what it is I've got. £160 was a little more than I probably wanted to pay, but hey, it's a seller's market these days isn't it?
