Ye old Mavic open 4 cd rims

trampsparadise I often ride tubs without handbrakes. No problems, I just don't skid.
Even on clinchers I try not to skid too much.
Yeah I'm the same, I don't skid that much. What about in the rain? Are you using tape or glue?

80's Campag clinchers are the only ones I've found that look similar to tubs in their dimensions; as provenrad says £45

I have a pair on my paganini. Good condition except the side wall where the pads where has worn through to the metal and 1 doesnt have a sticker any more. straight and true though if your interested?

I always thought they were fairly cheap rims, someone I didnt really know bought a bike round my house for me to fix it (for free) they had just bought it on ebay, a crap raleigh with good parts on it. It had nice wheels, ultegra/600 hubs with Open4CD rims in great condition.

They got the whole bike for £40

I just bought a reynolds 653 Cobra road bike which has a nice open4cd wheel on the front, im looking for one to match for the rear as it currently has an ancient GP4 sprint.

A great place to try for NOS rims is Yellow Jersey in the US. They were the only ones stocking Araya titanium rims that I could find anywhere. Be patient as the web site aint the best...

I have one in good nick from the 80's built by Dave Russell, sadly the rear one was stolen. I think it's 36 hole as it is with a C Record hub.

Agree. I have had to hose my bike down after the two rides this weekend due to filthy wet roads and the rims come up clean with just water.
