On the chrome front, anyone know where i might be able to get one that is right swing i.e. over right shoulder?
Checked at Condor, they muttered something about special orders to me that they don't really do!

this has got to be the best deal on a messenger bag, as long as you dont get stung on import.

i ordered my lefthanded (ie right shoulder) one direct, it was extremely quick in arriving, but i did get done for tax. i stood there, mouth agape, as the postman asked me for 40 or 50 quid. you win some, you lose some..

still ended up just costing the same as here though

Buy direct - that's what I did.
Arrived within 5 days, didn't get stung for tax, and with the dollar the way it is, it was a steal.
Was that from Chrome mooks?

must be similar posts, but considering buying chrome bag whilst in the states over the next week or so.
Would use it for commuting, gym, day bag etc.
Are these bags really worth it, and has anyone had any previous experiences with chrome (good or bad)
many thanks. -

But not as good as PAC............(cheaper and inferior)

it's a shame nobody is selling those PAC bags in London for £160, they are very good.

+1 For Chrome. Have one, great bag. And if you can get it cheap in US then go for it.

i have a backpack with this 'airflow' shit built in so you dont have all yer crap pressed-up against your back. its got tonnes of space, lots of pockets with hilarious names, cross straps, it compresses nicely when there's fuckall inside it and its very lightweight. Only real downer is it looks a bit toss.
In case youre interested, its made by some German badasses (Vaude) and its called a Triset 25+4

I bought my chrome metropolis bag (second in size to the kermlin) in New York recently for $120 (£60) which is very good value. Check the Chrome website for a dealer near where you will be staying:

I have a Chrome, the second largest one. My only regret is not getting the largest - you can never have too much space.

Has anyone on the forum got or had one of these roll top packs? I really like the look of them but don't want to splash 160 notes on a piece of crap. Chromes reputation preceeds them in terms of quality for thier messenger bags but just wanted to hear an independant view on the roll tops.

Get an Alpkit roll top. You can get the 60 litre one for £37 and they are shit hot.

a lot of mates back in the states put in 10 hour days in sun, rain and snow with the roll tops from chrome, i have not head a bad word. I would get one if it was not for scott, and the fact that i prefer over the should style messenger bags.
Long shot, but anyone wana swap a Chrome in black for a pretty new Large green/red Bagaboo?
