Lovely racer that is ^
I presume that the appropriate front derailleurs for this frame; http://www.flickr.com/photos/41284201@N05/7886058436/in/set-72157631302203496
are the brazed on ones.I have a chance to buy a used groupset with a 31.8 mm band on. Can it be used somehow?
Well it's just the front merch, you can get a different one for a few quid..

^^ What's the rear spacing on that? Looks like it's possibly a 80s frame, with 120mm dropouts, stretched to 130mm to accommodate an eight(?)-speed cassette.
That's what I plan to do for my next build, so I'm curious about whether or not it works.

It's indeed 80's, but 126mm OLD (correct me if I'm wrong). Stretching 126 to 130mm is only 4mm so will work quite easy.

Anyone have more info on the Gazelle Superbe frames? Made from Columbus Foco tubing. Are these frames anything special?

I want to buy a Crosstrophy frame, my Gazelle "tour de france" is not enough anymore... what's the best place to look for one? Marktplaats?

Mine was 26.6. Late 80's cross trophy

My frame is 1974 or 1975 i think. 27.0 seems a little loose, 27.2 is uber tight. I did notice that the clamp seems to be slightly askew but i cannot see if it has closed over the hole or not.

a restoration project from a couple years ago.
starting with a well and truly worn out ex-pro AA-Special from the mid 90s:
and here's the current, post-restoration build, a-la DAF:

UPDATE
After some pulling and tugging and a large amount of grease, I worked the 27.2 post in and out of the frame a few mm's at a time and it appears that it is a 27.2 tube. I am now absolutely freezing but, at least, I am happy.

that's very reasonable, I have never seen one with an Italian BB and I have seen a lot.
But Dutch Cheese has of course seen the most and he will give the definitive answer (if there's such a thing concerning Gazelle frames)

Wasn't this on marktplaats for a while?

Dont know. But like The frame. Quite frikking rare, but ugly paintjob and components imo

Does anyone have a Gazelle V8 titanium they would consider parting with?
Cheers

I'm also in search of a(nother) Gazelle. Preferably Champion Mondial. Needs to be about 54cm. Lemme know if you've got anything suitable.
