OK, how do you send 'private' messages?

This nursery thing is a pain - all I want to do is PM someone about an ad and I can't do it yet. Maybe one more posting after this....

How about posting something meaningful on one of the 50 billion threads available instead of bitching about the place?

Is there any way to see PMs that you have sent? Or have them sent to your email address when they are sent?
It's a bit odd not knowing if they've gone or if you forgot to send them and closed the browser.

User CP > Private Messages (left column)

Drop down menu - select sent instead of inbox

User CP> Edit options

Edit options for the Email preferences as Will mentions

Edit options for the e-mail option as Aroogah mentions Will mentions

You can also export all your PMs as an XML/CSV/text file.

All mentions of things that Will mentions are also worth mentioning, in case I hadn't mentioned it

Personally I have all my sent PMs printed out and then sent off to a specialist wallpaper manufacturer in Limoges. All I need do is the check the walls in the dining room and voila!
