  • Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Seriously. Since I moved to London I have had at least one a day. So far so good. Im also hoping to run 1500 miles this year. I managed 1200 last year so hopefully I'll be able to reach my target.

When Im in the USA I cannot go past the Krispy Kreme doughnut store, esp those custard filled ones...aahhggg more sugar! all the best giving up!

  • giving up sugar will be impossible bellezza. i would just moderate eh?

  • I'm finally going to build my dream home. And be a better father. Run the new York marathon - in Paris. Cut down on whale meat. Club a seal.
I'm going to live each day as if it were my last; which, hopefully soon, it will be.
I'm going to take time out just to stop and stare. And then retch in disgust at what I see.
I'm going to tell all my friends just how I really feel about them deep in my heart. Because when I am dead it'll be too late to say what a bunch of bastards they all are.
I'm going to see 100 films I should see before I die. And fiddle with myself through my trousers whilest doing so.
I want to put on twelve kilos of muscle; entirely above the neck.
Learn how to con old people out of their life savings.
    Love Jesus more dearly.

Well, that's January taken care of.

its the hardest thing for me, I have such a sweet tooth, I cant moderate it either, believe me Ive tried, its all or nothing... :(

  • You can get used to having less sugar much more quickly than you think.

Most important thing is to give up processed foods though, they feed you large amounts of sugars unconsiously maintaning your sweet tooth.

I dont eat much in the way of processed foods, in fact, I dislike most processed foods..although ice cream...well yes , thats another story... I love to cook so most my vices with sugar come from baking cookies and sweet things...

  • I eat home baked cakes & sweet things all the time. Yet I definetly do not have a sweet tooth. I can enjoy tea with no sugar, I cant drink pop or most shop bought cakes/desserts/ice cream

With home baked stuff, just put less sugar in. My favourite is chocolate cake with so much cocoa that it tastes bitter.

agghh but does it have double chocolate super sweet frosted icing? :]

  • I'm giving up making pancakes... no body to make them for.

  • ^ I do believe you owe me a stack no?

  • true... but i have given up :(

  • you are welcome to make pancakes for me any time...? unless it's a sexual thing in which case i'll be giving up pancakes in 2009...

  • you were going to get my ice cream! what happened????

  • what you never rang me!!

  • ^ umm I do believe you were going to call me!! remember how busy you were pre xmas? you found the ice cream and I told you to keep in touch.... lol... did you eat it all yourself??

  • i don't plan to give anything up entirely but i do resolve to 1. get a typewriter and write more letters 2. draw more 3. spend less money on booze (drink less).

  • and sell at least one of my bikes.

n+1! Is nothing sacred on this forum any more?

  • i plan on giving up caring

    more tasty food!
    more booze!
    more fags!
    more naps!
    and definetly more riding!

  • what you never rang me!!

    PM

One of the geared bikes. I reckon 5 is a bit excessive when I don't even do any cycling beyond commuting these days

  • Christmas made me FAT

So I am off the sugar for a bit

  • I am also going to stop ...close my facebook account

closed my facebook account quite a while ago, it's brilliant, i don't have to deal with any of the mediocre cunts that used to pollute my life!

  • Giving up fags, drugs and pointless spending.

    Day 5 all going well.

  • I also intend to drink lots more water this year, and so with quitting smoking I'm killing 2 birds with 1 stone: every time I want a cigarette I take myself off and have 5 quiet minutes with a glass of water.

  • I am stopping drinking during the week, for definite this time and no more spliff. I intend to be a lean mean racing machine by late spring/early summer
