Hey whats your guys experience with bikes on public transportation round UK and Europe? Ill be taking a train from london to paris to florence and then to frankfurt, so im wondering whats the best thing to do with the bike.
-
• #59
i think le car knows about stuff like that....where are you staying when your here?
-
• #60
Cool. Sheraton Park Tower Hotel.

i assume you're taking Eurostar to Paris. If so, you'll need a bike bag but they won't charge for it. If you have a folding bike bag then you can ride to the station and then bag the bike before going onto the train. Not too sure about the trains around Europe but it should be possible (maybe by booking ahead) to put in a luggage car or something without taking it apart. If you have a bike bag with you then that is a good back up.

On the euostar I know you have to have your bike in a case like when you fly, you can't just prop them up some where.
