  • see! and my offer was ignored, despite now even being the proud owner of "my name" - architektur und staedtebau kleinunternehmen..

anyway. its not my cup of tea therebouts in prenzlberg but i happened to find myself there on saturday and despite not encountering anyone my age (tourists excluded), i have to say, ita pretty beautiful out there. looks like a nice place to open a coffee shop/bar too because seeing what the prices were of stuff in shop windows, people actually have money there.

it could be fun to do a forum meetup. of course ideally by sponsoring jay by having us buying ours beers off of him, but it sounds like it could take a while..

  • So what places can you ride in Berlin? I see Templehof...are there any places like Herne Hill etc? I gather I won't be allowed near the Velodrom even though I have a UCI license etc.

  • anybody have a non driveside 170mm iso crank arm plus possibly left pedal in their spares box? or a suggestion where to find it?
    beater is better.

  • ^try bikepark on frankfurter allee, loads of spares

  • thats actually 150m from my house. great. il'l go by there on sat!

  • tried today. all closed because of himmelfahrt. i dont understand that, if people are off, theyre bored and they go spend money. i had some burning in my pocket and have to come by again on sat.
anyway, its in some kind of weird 70/80s mall ish building? address said so but couldnt enter because the gates were closed.

  • ^yep that's the place, the parts are in the buckets on the right of the counter along the wall just rummage through, was in there on Wednesday and saw some lovely bikes, have a look at the danecelli and colnago's while you're in there.

  • thanks again for the tip. nice people, really helpful and ended up with a fitting crankarm and pedal for the princely sum of 5 euros!

nice bikes indeed on display.. good stuff!

  • on another note:
    https://www.lfgss.com/events/767/

looks brutal, and im hella unfit so wont join but it looks like some people of the forum are coming over so it could be a nice excuse for a foreign lufguss meetupgettogether afterwards with beers.. ever been done before?

    whos in?!

the shop isnt finished by then is it jay?

  • hello ello ello ello

  • Bangse, me and Pølle is in in in - 31st after Fixed42 RadRace around 15:00 at the finish [unter linden?]

  • coolio! ill be in the office around the corner beforehand so i deserved myself a beer. hope to get vivian the vivalo finished before but im hardheaded that will be possible..

btw, the finish is near uni at strasse der 17. juni i think. anyway, we'll be in touch!:)

  • I will try to talk you into bring along a six pack of German beer to hydrate our thirsty throats at the finish line

  • in berlin we drink bottled half liters. you sure deserve some, you talked me into it..

  • Everything is going all too well

  • Sorry Rodolfo just saw you're post.....I'm in the UK until Monday, but spent all last week tuning some bikes up for a friends team, they're doing the 120km ride keep an eye out for them, Irish lads that like a good laugh! An old Razesa, a Colnago and a Trek.
I just finished gutting the place yesterday, plan to be serving legally 2nd week in August....also really nice meeting Pete"owl" 1st forum member to get wasted in the bar with me: then he rode off with 2 bikes, I was a bit worried for him (:

  • Slightly odd question, off to Berlin on June 4th for a weekend, before we've mainly gone out to techno nights and had an awesome time, and got the hang of actually getting in.

However, there's an electro swing night on at Astra Berlin which looks absolutely sweet, just wondering if anyone had any insights on whether the bouncers would be looking for similar dress to those at Tresor or whether all black might actually be a bad idea.

Bit neurotic, but my friend is pretty stoked for it and I really don't want to end up screwing up her first time in Berlin. :)

going by the fotos #blackonblackonblackonblack is a bad idea. get into your 20/30s dress.

but the general rule stays; be relaxed, confident and yourself. youll get in

  • More questions - what is the price for bringing the bike on the "Jungfernheide - Ludwigsfelde" connection? (we are biking from TXL to Jungfernheide).

And how do we buy the ticket? and can we make a reservation so our 3 bikes are guarenteed space on the train?

  • Lovely to meet you too mate, you couldn't have been more hospitable and the bikes were absolutely perfect (although the 4am ride across Berlin in a state far worse than the one in which I left you might not have been the best idea!) - sorted me right out. Putting a couple of books in the post to you ASAP. Prost!

itll cost 3,30 per bike. you could ask at the station or buy them from the machine.

youll be taking the early one on a saturday. youll be fine with bringing your bikes. theres even dedicated carriages i believe with bike stands. look on the train, it should be indicated with a bike sign

  • Thanks a lot - the train will be Sunday at 11am'ish.

  • will do! rckon i say hi from jay?;)

  • Cheers for that man, I'll back my waistcoat in that case, looks like my kind of night!
