Epping would be utterly hideous now and for the foreseeable future - it rained less over Autumn and winter ffs

September will be good. September is always good.

• #8654
I might even be able to organise a ride by then :-/

Around the 19th is always good......

Watching this on John Parker of Yeti, I didn't know he's started a new firm, Underground Bike Works, with frames made by Frank the Welder. Want. Can't afford.

TMARS dropper post in 27.2
My 27.2 Thomson is back with I-ride again. Not fully raising this time.
Between getting my knee tattooed, doing wedding planning stuff and the shit weather, I'm getting few enough opportunities to ride mtb so having my bike out of action* is pissing me right off and I'm wishing I'd just bought a TMars or RSP or whatever now.
*I know I could still ride with a standard post but once you've gone dropper it's hard to go back!

Way more impressive then I hoped it would be. Looking like decent runs. Traffic jams expected. .

Entry is pricey?
-

It's not open yet as from what I've been told. I've got a mate helping build and they're giving it an ETA of late summer, but word seems to be that yeah It might be as it's the closest place to London for anyone with a dirt fetish.

In other news, great pre Alps shakedown at Afan with @Doctor_Cake and a guest spot from @t_w

Epping was firm today, nice hard compact ground. At times this was admittedly buried beneath four inches of mud but it was definitely there.

£42 if you follow the convoluted booking process.

For that much I expect someone to chase after me and praise my shitty riding and shout at me that I'm "rad"
Then buy me a sandwich afterwards. -

Does seem a bit more but I suppose they need more marshalling than an XC event (which currently appear to have none)
I'm tempted - it's probably the most XC enduro available?
-
• #8669
Let's do it
Team LFGSS anyone?
-
• #8670
I'm in for this Enduro without doubt.
-
• #8671
I'm in if it's rideable with a saddle at XC height!
-
• #8672
Yeah, it was good to see you and @Doctor_Cake. Hope you both enjoyed the Afan trail mix and that there wasn't too much fire road climbing.
(Though I think there was...)I tried a Whyte T-130 & G-160 today. I want both. T-130 is amazingly poppy, dynamic and fun. Best trail bike I've tried to date.

I can test a T130 for you in Morzine if you want?
You know, help you out n stuff?
Looks great. Kinda similar to the Cannondale Habbit; short travel bikes that feel like a lot more.

Just built a new Orange Segment and it feels good. Off to Morzine at weekend. Grinning.

Right.
Everyone stop talking abot Morzine. Looks like every fucker's going except me.
But, yeah, if you do get a chance to ride a T-130 and/or a G-160 at that place that must need be named coz I'm super jelly, then go for it.
Let me know what you think.
It's summer, but Epping was rather muddy today.
Not mine, this is from Grayson Perry's Twitter (he was up there this afternoon).
