I've been on oval rings on the road bike for years. Osymetric, Q-rings, Doval.....
They help me at the 2 Extremes of cadance.
.....I think.

Cranks is cranks really. If you have an unshagged 10sp crank there is no need to swap as 11sp run on 10speed chainrings - assuming 1x.
Only proviso to that is I haven't a clue how the spacer required for Boost fits/works - no do I ever intend to find out.

I dont have any cranks here though. So will just grab the XT.

And, 25% off chainrings from superstar for the next couple of days - APRUK25 is the code. Just bought a 30 tooth for bikepacking duty.

Got out on the MTB for the first time in a long time last night. Rear brake needs a bleed so badly it's practically useless and my forks are officially bollocksed but I really enjoyed myself.
Need to get some syringes and mineral oil and do a bleed, but I think I'm at the point where I'd be better off getting a new bike than spending any more on this one. Shame really.

Wait for the new Bontrager one. Lots of good whispers about it.

Whole point of Boost is to get the flanges further apart. Fnar.
If you use spacers and endcaps you're Doing It Wrong.

I just converted to ghetto tubeless. I didn't shake the bottle of stans before I put some in my front tyre, which means it probably doesn't have much amaze microbead technology.
Will I died?

Will I died?
Horribly. On fire. Covered in poo.

• #8391
Is poo a good tubeless sealant?

• #8392
Not when its on fire, no.

Ogod... now what?

Not a dropper-post in sight there.

No, there is not. When you have mad skills... The new Scalpel - which is what that XC is Dead site is going to be for apparently - will still be 27.2mm or so people say.

^ How much do you want to bet that it's slightly longer and slightly slacker than the old one...
I have the AB oval on the stache and it certainly improves something.....the power is smoother or some such. I thought they were snake oil, but it works.....and it was cheaper than a standard cinch replacement ring, so was a no brainer!
