  • When I first found it was not holding air

Have you tried tightening/replacing the valve core? Might just be that simple.

  • I have not. I took a shock pump over and pumped it up and then noticed it was out of most air the next day. Fair shout.

  • are the old wheels /tyres on the voodoo trash then? cos they are schraed and non tubeless, also blue?

  • They're blue (which doesn't bother me that much) and someone drilled them to take schrader valves when they couldn't find Presta tubes, so I thought "wouldn't it be nice to make this a gravel bike with rigid fork and tubeless tyres.

I don't have a spare 'set' of wheels though, just a spare 29er, spare dynamo 650B gravel. Firstly figured I could just buy a used 26er fork and some TL 26er wheels but that got me thinking about what spares I have already.

  • Was just about to say the same

  • 27.2 dropper works in the Stanton. Now the problem is trying to get hold of one of my own...

All I can seem to find is KS Lev with 90kg rider weight limit and only 100mm travel. Was looking for 150mm.

  • Might struggle with finding any long travel 27.2 ones, it'll be flexy as fuck if you there even are any

  • OneUp look like they're pre-ordering for a 27.2 120mm one though

  • Anyone used a "DXC" DP/THREE I.110 Dropper Post?

Or a "KS LEV Integra" 120mm

  • I need it this week for xmas riding. I might just end up throwing in a normal post and dealing with the dropper later.

Nothing over 125mm drop. But I guess so long as it's long enough to get my seat height right, I don't really care.

    "Crankbrothers Highline XC/Gravel Dropper Seatpost - 27.2mm - 125mm Travel"

    Fox Transfer SL

But there's too many numbers. I don't know the total length I need. Should've measured that in the shop I guess. Fucking stupid droppers.

  • Fuck it. Ordered a 125mm Crank Bros post. Hope it fits, otherwise I'll need a rigid 30.9 post for the trip and I'll just tie off the dropper cable or something.

  • fav bit of one up for me is that you can change pressure with a shock pump, why dont all droppers have this?!

  • I didn't think about that. How does the Crank Bros work then?

Maybe I'll give it a go and if it's crap I'll get another OneUp. Droppers are the new tubeless - great when they work but a pain in the dick hole.

  • DXC is a Tranz-X who also make the One-up, Raceface, pnw, brand-x and whole lot more

  • Ta. So they're probably ok. I'm going to see if the OneUp in the Scott can be lowered another 10mm and if that's enough to work with the 165mm cranks. If not, I'll have to get another dropper - probably something shorter so I don't have all this drama with post length (ooh nurse).

If the Crank Bros 27.2 doesn't work I'll get a OneUp longer version in 27.2 and then sell the 487 spare dropper posts I now seem to own. Also need to sell the 175mm SLX cranks that have done less than 50km off that Scott and maybe replace the bars with some that "aren't straight" - no idea what though.

  • KS Lev isn't a terrible dropper.

  • Anyone heard whether SRAM are going to release a 200mm AXS Reverb soon?

  • Will they release one? Yes. Will it be soon? Probably not. I’m guessing there will be one with the new product cycle around march/april. But I think I said that last year.

I’m tempted by one of the new wireless droppers that are starting to appear. Although it would mean losing some of the AXS functionality.

  • Nope, nothing on the list for 2024 release.

  • Weight limits on them rule me out.

  • Got the Scott out for 60k yesterday. Probs its longest ride yet. Adjusted levers and saddle and it's now more comfortable (I really need to swap the saddle though). I'd forgotten to air the suspension so it still sits too low. It feels kind weird with full lockout on, like it's pumping up and down. I guess that could be my uneven pedaling with flat shoes impacting the huge tyres.
I think the saddle is still too high so my last option is to drop the OneUp another 10mm. I probably should go read up on how to do that. If that doesn't work then I'm going to be looking at another dropper purchase.

  • show us a pic

  • Sub to my onlyfans like everyone else.

  • Hmm, that’s annoying. 170mm feels pretty old fashioned these days.
