  • Makes everything else I've worn (including the MT500, when it's coating was working) feel like a bin-bag.

  • If you're sweating through the jacket - do you need to be wearing the jacket? Can you not carry and throw on for the descents?

  • I’m too lazy to stop

  • does anyone want cheap 1x11 SLX/XT shift setup? 11-46 cassette, chain (to be used with 32t chainring), XT shifter, SLX mech. 30 quid?

  • Yes please if you will post?

  • @umop3pisdn said he will take

  • Foolproof stuff at banging price

Anyone got a 27.2 dropper for sale?

  • 3rd dibs pls amey

  • Bought a dropper from chain reaction for 80bobs, can’t fault it yet.

  • Getting fed up with my haggard MTB.
CRC and wiggle have the Vitus nucleus vrs in sale. I'm hoping I can get it through cycle to work which would make it half RRP. Worth a punt?

  • Did someone here ever do enduro races? I want to start racing this year and start with the Belgian enduro cup, anyone who've done this?

  • A couple Scottish Enduro Series races. Big days out, 2 in a row if you're practicing on the Saturday. Cant comment on Belgian stuff but Scotland was pretty damn techy and very hard work. Did one in Colorado as well actually....was less techy but always a lot of elevation.

  • Interesting! Love to ride in Scotland some day, did you enjoy the races?

  • Hmmmmm I suppose I did but its like going for a big, tough ride and then at the end someone tells you just how shit you actually are on a mountain bike.

In the Scottish races I was waaaaay down the standings but mid pack in Colorado. I'm no very good though.

  • then at the end someone tells you just how shit you actually are on a mountain bike

    Sounds fun haha!

    lol #rep
This is why I'll never enter the Dukes Weekender race. Pay money to race on trails that I ride for free every other day of the year... then see that the folk placing in the top 25 are basically professional riders. I'd rather keep the entry fee and buy a nice kebab with the cash on the way home.

I'm gonna set up my own gravel race series with mandatory food stops and/or a mandatory bong hit. No prizes and no timing system.

  • I'm gonna set up my own gravel race series with…a mandatory bong hit.

Shut up and take my money

  • The dates for Dukes never match up for me but I would actually like to see how I stack up on the gravel bike roster in Aberfoyle, it more my jam performance wise. MTB is a confidence game and I take a long time to build it up. Not paying £25 to climb a hill on a separate day though.

(Doing Gralloch and Dirty Reiver this year but will probably never MTB race again)

  • MTB is a confidence game

haha so much this. I don't consider my self totally shit hot or anything, maybe a baw hair above average. I've been riding the trails at inners since I was a teenager, know them very well... but as soon as the pressure of a stop watch is there I fall apart and hug the first tree I see. Not that keen to pay money just to see DNF next to my name.

I'll give you a bell when I organise the Aberfoyle Bongs n Pies fun ride.

  • Got an rsp one you can have cheap .
Works but not a load of drop ..
    I stumbled on a Thomson 27.2 which is a lovely thing .
So maybe try mine and look out for the Thomson
    ;)

  • For a very reasonable fee, I'm more than happy to tell people they're a bit shite at bikes

  • There’s definitely going to be a very senior position for you in my UCI-breakaway Bongs n’ Pies Cycling governing body.
