Duvel?

Worth a try.

Am I a fool to consider buying a (lightly) used dropper post?
Edit: a hydraulic reverb C1, specifically

I posted somewhere else but I had good results with road discs using @skinny's method which is just dish soap and a green scourer pad.
I also only ever use metal pads and when I first swapped from organic I used IPA/disc cleaner to attempt to remove the organic residue.

This looks fun, have also entered (FUN cat as it'll be my first enduro) - considering camping as well...

Great! Hopefully catch you there

Looking at this again and I just can't get to it in time, maybe I should buy a faster car.

I've looked at it, and I can ride those trails for free any day of the week so will pass.

Wait till you hear about road racing...

a hydraulic reverb C1, specifically

Watch that and then ask yourself "is this what I want?"
I think they can be added to the long list of mountain bike products that @dammit has bought that don't work as they should, and no one needs to read or answer twice the amount of the current level of questions.

Achieved: on demand, seated, controlled stoppies (sp?).

And replacing the bearings in the suspension has banished the cracking noise.

I’ve had zero problems with the post, but the remote was a pain - works fine now. My Fox Transfer post, on the other hand, has stopped returning all the way to the top, so that needs some attention.

Ok. Have you already detailed what issues you had somewhere upthread or would you like to elaborate?

Mine came with the traditional remote, which is designed to avoid the front shifter - if of course you have one. This puts the actuator in a spot where you don't naturally reach for it, if that makes sense. I therefore swapped to a "stealth" remote, which puts the actuator where the FD shifter would normally be, which leaked and leaked, until Jim told me that when Rockshox say "screw on the hose until it's snug, but do not over-tighten" what they mean is "screw it on like a mad cunt or it'll leak". Now, all is fine. The issue, if it really is an issue (it's more an RFC vs reality thing) was due to the actuator being hydraulic, which just seems to be asking for trouble but there you go.

Would this be a good entry point?
8000 sek is about £680
I want to ride trails / woodland / gravel roads. Nothing too technical or steep

does anyone have any gps/x routes around the surrey hills? I don't know the area at all so need something I can follow. Of a XC type preferably

The feller selling the post did mention the nut at the actuator has a few marks from a spanner. Well, I’ve bought it now so we’ll soon see 😉

Can you rename it 'The Howard Classic' ?

I promise to keep the hydraulic dropper questions to a minimum.

classic howard
"twice as fast last time"
Lagers too weak, stout leaves too much residue.
