How do I test them - huck to flat at 10psi?
Only if you have spare rims to replace them in case they don't work when you huck 'em to flat.
Any decent reviews around of them? -

I'm on the hunt for some Magura MT7s. Would love some Trickstuff Direttissima but they're nearly the same price as a Fox 36.

Nope, just went in totally on a whim as I was getting some other bits. I "need" a few more valves if nothing else so no great loss

They look a really good price so worth a punt, yeah.

Nice one.

Come up about once a month - you can make an offer but if you say £220 he’ll probably ignore you or get the huff.

Following the afan chat a few pages back, I've got some leave 12th to 16th Feb. Either of you free for an afan/masts ride? And anyone else interested.

• #15237
Can do the 16th.

Get some MT5s and throw on Shimano levers of your choice, the Magura levers are a bit rubbish even in fancy MT7 spec.

Incorrect.

Cross post from classifieds if anyone is after a cheap set up.

Sadly I’ll be in Dorset lookin after my nieces 13th-16th so won’t be about

They're flexy, they break easily and unless you get the fancy levers they are rubbish for single finger use. XTR race (non servo-wave) were cheaper than replacing mine and better in every way.
-
• #15243
They are different. You didn't like them. Didn't get on with the two finger leaver? Why did you even have it? How did you break them?
Current MT7 comes with the alloy single finger leaver.

Oh, it's all an opinion, much like you simply saying "incorrect", I just thought it was worth mentioning that's another route to go. Two-finger lever was all they came with when I got mine, glad to hear they're properly one finger now. I cracked the lever body at the hose connection in a crash so my fault, but I've definitely had Shimano and Hope brakes withstand worse.

Thanks for the offer but I'm going to hold out for the full MT7 brakes.

Well those Barbieri foam rim strip things were enough to get a tubeless tyre to go up on a dinged rim, so already worth it. Valves look okay as well. Not ridden yet but tentative recommendation from me.

After having a clear out of the garage I think I am all but a frameset away from a rigid mountain bike to do some bikepacking this summer.
One snag is that I have a set of 650b tubeless, disc brake wheels but they are 135mm and 100mm QR.
Can anyone recommend some frames that would fit them?
Either new or secondhand is used.
Thanks -

Saw these hanging round the CRC page the other day - built with a 120mm Sus fork in mind - but so will everything 650b I think.

Second hand, something like an one one 45650b if you can find one.

bikepacking is much more fun with front suspension
MTBs are better with front suspension
get front suspension -

Yeah I've been thinking that too.
