It needs to remain owned by someone who can appreciate how bonkers it is!

From a practical design perspective it's absolutely mental which is what makes it so brilliant.

The 34/20 feels so spinny and near-painful on my knees on the flat paved surfaces but instantly satisfying on grass or dirt. Feels so long since riding anything but longtail-cargo/bmx that I’ll take some time to get back into the nonsense geometry. I also totally forgot to do my one errand, and grab some black cable ties.

Ha! I finally got some cable ties yesterday after forgetting for ages. If you were in Bristol you could have some - I have hundreds now :-)

Sod riding this standing up all the way from Swindon! From Bath maybe...

I’ve ridden on a sabotaged path I suspect (although can’t remember where my last ride was). 3 carpet tacks in the front tyre. Lucky that I got home before the type deflated.

What's the forum approved 150mm dropper post?

• #14085
For the money, I hear the Brand X is hard to fault.
-

I've got a brand X, for £100 it's great. only thing that's lacking is matchmaker Ispec mounts.
-
• #14087
Had BrandX, it just worked. Will get another one.

Got some black zip ties, finally. Zipped it all down and realised the outers are kinda long, so should probably trim them for aesthetics.

Thanks all. Brand X it is.

So I think I will sell the Giant.
Really love it but my body doesn’t. Health/physical issues so I think I need to stay sat down. Riding bmx to the shops occasionally is bad enough but this thing deserves a better owner that can actually do fun stuff.
Would sell either frame, frame + forks, or frame forks wheels. Could be convinced to include bars/levers/brakes. Will clean it up and take photos for a FS ad.
You’d still need a new chain and cassette/cogs/chain tensioner etc and I need the cranks, chain, cassette for elsewhere.

Hmm. Although this is way nicer than the ones listed on ebay etc (‘team series’ with a way different shaping) looking at those listings and sold prices, I suppose I will lose way too much money if I did sell it. Unless someone took pity on me, it might end up on the wall as decoration.

Converting boost m8000 from 1x to 2x. Anyone knows which rings can be used? Was hoping to stick M6000 as these are cheap as chips.

Does anyone have a need for an old 31.6 Crank Bros Joplin dropper post? Found it in a spares box where I threw it in disgust after it stopped working (again) on a ride so it probably needs fixing. Free for the cost of postage (I live in mainland Europe tho).

I've got a Crank Brothers internal-routing dropper post for sale, and a 29er wheelset with Hope hubs, Light Bicycle carbon rims built by @AugustWheelworks. Anyone interested? Both in tip-top condition.
-
• #14096
I'm interested in the wheelset
-
• #14097
I’ll post pics here tomorrow. They’re in great condition - just won’t need them on new bike.

Is it the weird asymmetric rings you need? I have some unused you can have super cheap if so
-
• #14099
What size is the dropper?

I have no idea so I ordered m7000 as they were the cheapest 11 speed shimano rings I could find. Thanks for the offer.
Me neither. I was in two minds to sell it to buy a normal rig, but not sure I can, it’s just too damn silly.
